ID another YYH cel, oops

I keep thinking I'm so fantastic at this episode-matching thing... and most times I am. But this cel of Kuwabara eludes me. I bought it from birdie (thanks a million) and I thought it was from Kuwabara's fight with Musashi during the short Rando saga, aka his first use of the spirit sword. However, there's no damage on Kuwabara's school uniform in the cel, and the fight leaves him with a few tears in his coat, plus this particular shot of amazement doesn't show up during that skirmish. So, it's not E10. I watched the surrounding episodes to see if there was a flashback/coming up next shot with this cel and that also didn't provide anything useful.

It's in ep 89 around 12:52. Yu Yu Hakusho is like the antithesis of most anime. Whereas most shows are like, hey we're doing a flashback or a 30 second recap at the beginning of an episode, let's recycle animation. Yu Yu goes off in the other direction and says, you know what we should spend money on? Reanimating existing scenes in spiffy new ways XD So if you ever can't find something, try the next episode recap (the one before the title card) or find an ep that they may have flashed back to the ep you had been sure the cel was from. Lovely cel btw I'm a huge Kuwabara fan and he just does not get enough love.

I just realized I never actually thanked you here. Thanks a bunch, KT4! And yeah, Kuwabara is a tremendous character (with a super expressive face that makes for great cels) and he does deserve more love.

The sketch just came up on YJ if you see this in time. It looks to also come with the timing sheet and they correctly state the episode as 89 as well lol.
