I just counted up this week, and I have something close to 1100 individually displayed items on RS. That is a little misleading, as some 58 come from one item (my original storyboard from Condition Green) and in some cases I display the cel and the douga separately, or the background without the cel, or in some cases, the background with and without some of the book layers.

On the other hand, I don't scan every sketch that I get, and in fact I've been increasingly picky about what I display from extremely repetitive genga/douga sets. One set (an OP sequence from Saiyuki) I haven't displayed at all, as I'm still not clear how on earth to do it. (Huge pack of dougas -- every one of them a partial.) Likewise, I still have a stack of TnN cels that I got in a big batch that I have not scanned and probably never will.

So ... to answer your question ... I have no idea.

But keep asking those questions because if you don't ask you'll never learn.

I really dont have very many cels at all lol!

just a measly 50-ish?

(Not counting Repro cels thou)
Im so nit picky when I buy cels that I tend to not try
for anything unless I really want it. Keeps the wallet wounds reasonable

Probably about 600+ not counting partials or crap sketches
The bulk of them being Kiba-kuns

Not including the items I have in transit and have not yet scanned, I have 122 production cels, 1 rilezu and 51 backgrounds(most of which were purchased seperately and did not come with any cels).

I never realized I had that many...

50+ High quality sketches
130+ Medium Quality Sketches
150+ Low (single possible small character) sketches

(What you see on the site is only High/some medium quality/or interesting sketches)

Note: I just ballparked it as I have other 5 sketch boxes + 2 high quality boxes (meaning i store my best sketches in them) + a huge box just for my Yoko Pans.

EDIT: I noticed some counted there douga sets... I have over 5 sets which have easily 20-25 pieces.. so they also add up quite quickly...

Last year I had a general count up and estimated a rough guess which is by no means scientific based on my assumptions and reckoning... then I lost track so it was all in vain.

Perhaps I have 2000 cels and 2000 settei/genga hidden away. But I've REALLY slowed down over the last few months so the quantities aren't rising as much as they did each week/month.
I should sort through them all and sell off the ones I don't need, even then I can't see myself having less than 1800 cels

Darn! I'm so far behind! I better start buying some more of those big cel lots to catch up!

About 240 actual cels not counting reproductions, a big pile of setti & sketches and fan cels, or matching sketches.

I don't want to count it makes me nervous,

but I estimate it somewhere around the high 700s to low 800s in cels. I couldn't begin to say how many sketch sets, individual sketches, settei and storyboards - another 800+ ?

I'm still whittling away, trimming away what I can live without, which is turning out to be very little....

Hmmm. hard to estimate this one, but at least the RS gallery has around 675+ cels. I think I have about 100 or so sketches, most of which are not posted up. The collecting numbers have slowed down considerably recently...

Boy...some of you guys have been seriously stockpiling over the past eighteen to twenty four months.

I've never liked counting the cels I didn't intend on getting -- i.e. "lesser" cels that came with something else. On the other hand sometimes I count top quality freebies I've received because I consider them on par with the "regular" cels I've acquired.

I have:

346 cels from 48 series

59 sketch purchases from 40 series (each "purchase" having from one to X number of sketches in them):

I don't count individual sketches because I feel I have too many low quality and almost-the-same sketches in each set. I'd never post a lot of those sketches anyway. Maybe someday...if I ever posted up more sketches I could start counting them in a similar manner to how I do cels.

If i'm not mistaken i have almost 180 cels, from 9 different series, not counting freebies of course. And i don't collect sketchs by themselves, although i consider them as a great addition when they come with the cel.

I used to have many more cels, but since i decided to focus myself in just 3-4 series i sold a good part of them.
