What do you think the average value/ price is for your cels?

I paid avg $1000 for 20% of my cels and about $100 each for the rest. Don't know the current value.

Don't tell my wife :x

Ummmm.

I know to the penny, but it's more than I want to state. I cancel out my low volume of cels (relative to the number of years I've been collecting) by the amount I spent on each one.

I know how much the average is but it's greatly skewed to the lower price end because I have some pretty cheap cels but more than half of my total cost have gone to the pricier series or single shots that was a must have for me.

Great question. I always try to hold out for a bargain, if possible. Most of my early purchases are recorded, but eventually I became terribly lazy and don't know what I've managed to spend since I started collecting.

I would guess my average is about $500.00+. Not sure i realy want to find out, i started to value my collection one day and stoped after one cel book added up to 20K. Figure i'm better off not knowing. :)

Mine are mostly around $250-$400.

Lately I've bought cels around $650-$800, but they aren't up yet! :D

My average cel purchase price is $74 with a median of $60. Only 25% of my cels exceeded $100 and only 2% were $300 or more.

Thats funny Zag.

It is weird, I have been thinking about this for a few days now..and then I got scared of the thought. Usually on average I pay about $40.00 a cel. I have a couple that have exceeded the $200 mark and a few that have exceeded the $100 mark. But still, my average would be $40-$50.
I am just glad my better half hasn't asked me to value my cels.....he doesn't know how much a few have cost me...and I'd be scared for my life to tell him

I dunno, I have close to 1000 cels and sketches all together,
and I paid no more than shipping for 9/10 of them.

I always try to bargain-hunt as well. My tastes vary on what I collect, so the price ranges also vary widely. I have a few cels in my collection that I love and can say I paid no more than $20 for those cels. A few I received as gifts, and there are those that I paid in the hundreds for. I think to average out how many cels I have in SM and AMG vs. prices I paid for them, the average actually comes out to about $80 a cel, but that's not the case as some I've paid a nice chunk of change for.

For example, 3 wishlist/dream cels that I've acquired recently have all cost me over $400 each... X| :hurt: But a very cute cel that I won off YJ only cost me $20 after fees and shipping.

Man, I don't even know and probably don't want to know. But without actually going back to make sure I am accurate I would have to guess most of my cels on average are in the $200 - $400 range.

But then when I add in my wishlist, they skew those figures a lot. Probably 10 of my cels average at over 1K. 8O

I know I'll be better at buying one day... :P

I have no idea. Usually when I buy a cel, I sort of forget its value later, because I don't write it down :? The most I've spent on one cel was about $175. The cheapest? About $7.
