Thinking of storing cels in storage unit for now...

The weather has been crazy this past week, started off in the 80's and dropped down freezing in the 30's. Now I have a slight sinus infection due to it being so wacky! X|

I plan to move out of our friends house very soon and was wanting to store my cel collection in our storage unit for a week or two (possibly a little longer). Since this storage unit is an outdoor unit there is no temperature control and some slight moisture does get in there (some of our storage boxes look like they have caved in a bit from the moisture from the winter snows). The unit is made of aluminum and does have some foam boards to help with insulation. I wanted to know what everyone's opinions would be if I decided to store the cels here. I don't want any cracking or other damage to occur to them.

I would caution about storing them there. Cels can be damaged by temperature extremes. The cel plastic expands & contracts at a different rate than the paint. You might be better off keeping them with you or storing them with a friend or family members closet.

Definitely find someplace else. The temperature extremes inside storage units is a lot more than what is happening outside. :l

Thank you for the advice. I'll definitely make sure to take them with me when I move out and not store them.
