Has anyone purchased anything from this site before?

For the n00bs of cel collecting and production art . . . and for some of us old-timers, too. Post your questions on anything that puzzles you.

Has anyone purchased anything from this site before?

http://www.ednoonchester-artwork.com/site_index.html

So they only take cash, check, or money order and no credit card or paypal, so I'm wondering if they're trust worthy these days.

This is Anime ED, he is one of the oldest cel dealers around. I see him at a lot of the west coast cons (AX , Sakura con, Comic con)
He is one of of the best to deal with.

I don't recall ever hearing anything bad about her selling practices. :D

I've never bought anything from her though

I think I bought something from Delia a long, long time ago ... I know I've dealt with Ed on many occasions with nothing bad ever happening (both at cons and online). :)

yeah, I just felt that an online shop that doesn't take paypal or credit card in the present is a bit out of loop. since so far theres no bad exp posted regarding them, this site looks trustworthy.

Well if they did, and it's like Ed's site, you have to provide CC info via email, which has never, ever made me comfortable. As for not taking PayPal, well, PP costs may be higher than merchant CC companies charge to process transactions -- not to mention there's a ton of hatred out there for PayPal. ;)

Remember, you're talking about a site that is quite old as far as dealers are concerned. Taking money orders was standard practice for a long time. ;)

very true. although alternative methods would be easier for new costumers like me and I'd feel more protected in case something happens. also I suppose this would possibly work in their favor since with check, cash and money order they can basically make every transaction under the table.

About Itoya, I would like to know if someone has purchased something from this site. It seems correct, and it accepts to declare a lower value in international shipping packages, something that stores like DickBlick don't do.

Thanks in advance.

Can't help you there for I have never done business with them.
