Microchamber Paper & Colors

So, I'm planning on buying some microchamber paper to package with my shikishi and original paper art items.
All of these items are colored on the front, and most of the lines are either done with permanent markers or Copics. Is microchamber safe enough to place on top of the colored portion of these images, or is it only adviseable to place the paper on the back, non colored portion, of these items? My fear is that, since the paper apparently helps wick the paper's acidity, that it'll cause the design to blot or will transfer onto the sheet.
I noticed this website - http://www.conservationresources.com/Ma ... hamber.htm and it talks about packaging fine art with Alpharag Artcare museum board. I don't want to mount the item - just store it in its polybag inside one of my folders. Do I need to buy this instead?
