Clear bags

Does anyone know where I can purchase these clear bags? They fit my sketches perfectly without the need of trimming when it comes to height.

Heiko either went out of business or stopped producing cel bags a while back as far as I know. I use BCW Treasury Comic Book Bags a lot off of Amazon. They fit standard sized cels/sketches and backgrounds. It does have a blur to the finish. I recently used a company called Clear Bags through a suggestion here which I do like more and they have a sleek clear finish with polypro or a slight blur with polyethylene. I ordered the LARGE Life Magazine/Large Sheet Music Sleeve 10-7/8 x 14-1/4" which also fits standard sized cels/sketches and backgrounds. Hope this helps you. Adding the links below:

I'm in the market for some new cel bags too, thanks for the info! Just curious, all of those bags says there's a resealable flap and the tape is on the body of the bag, what is that anyway? When I use the Heiko bags I typically trim off the adhesive and the flap. Thanks!

Yeah, the BagsUnlimited variety (w=10 7/8 in.) are made of two layers of plastic (I get polypro). The top layer is 16" and the bottom layer is 14.5" There is a strip of medium-strength adhesive on the top back of the second layer, protected by a strip of thin plain tape. So if you put something in the bag that's 14-14.5 inches (like a LARGE Life Magazine), you strip off the thin tape, fold the inch-and-a-half flap of the top layer back, and press it onto the adhesive. Because it's not permanent, you can easily reopen the bag (e.g., to add or replace Microchamber paper) and seal it again.

Mostly for sketches, I just fold the top back so the crease is snug to the top of the sheets, run my fingernail (or a bone folder) over the crease, and put it into storage. I just don't worry about the flap or the adhesive. I don't see that the glue ever goes bad, so it's just an extra that once in a while comes in handy. A normal production background, for instance, is just about exactly the size of a LARGE Life Magazine, so you can fold over the top and use the adhesive strip on these.
