How long have you been collecting Sailor Moon cels?
Well I bought my first cel in may 2001, Actually it turned out to be two cels . My sad eternal sailor moon and my smiling usagi cel. Wow it has been a long time. I still have those first two cels. I have also revamped my cel gallery http://moondreams.rubberslug.com/gallery/home.asp . I also have this new gallery that a dear friend Tanya created for me here. http://www.geocities.com/moondreamsfp/index.html
Well now I have a lot of cels and I am very happy with them.

seems shorter
Hi,
Well doesn't seem that long but have been collecting for about 6 years. Seen a lot of SM cels go by and have had quite a few. Hopefully I will keep collecting until I die or at least until I get all my dream cels (which will probably never happen but I can hope). Take care.

I've only been cel collecting for 10 months now. It all started with Sailor Moon getting kicked in the butt by Sailor Mars, and when I received the cel, I was hooked! ^^ It's my first cel, and I don't think I'll ever part with it.
It is getting expensive though, especially with some wishlist cels that keep popping up everywhere.
Starfighter, I love your Princess Serenity ending cel, the two toned one used at the end of R episodes I believe. Must have cost a fortune! ^^
I don't know when I'll stop collecting. Everytime I say I'll stop for a while, a cel I really like pops up. Oh well I guess, it is really an addictive hobby.

For the four years I've been collecting cels, I resisted SM cels. Then one day while browsing eBay, I noticed that a collector had posted for auction my favorite cel from her collection for a very good price... and all my resistance broke down. ^^; So now I have a small and growing collection of SM cels. I think I've had very good luck with them so far.

hmmm... I can't remeber the month I bought my first SM cel....I would have to guess the year was either 2000 or 2001...and it was of Sailor Iron mouse, long sold, but I still have teh sketch to remind me. I kinda jumped on the cel hobby bandwagon at the time and grabbed the first not so expensive cel from Stars I saw ^_^ now collecting has slowed down for me - as its harder and more sparse to find SM cels from Stars at reasonable prices if they ever pop up.

I bought my first cel from Anime Chaos in the spring of 2003. Judging by this poll's results, that's newer than most other people out there. I now have about 22 cels, so I'm averaging about one per month.
It's fun to see that after a year and a half I'm actually starting to recognize the names of fellow collectors. I was surprised recently that somebody else remembered me when they put a cel of my focus character up for offers and e-mailed me to see if I'd be interested. The sense of community is one thing I really like about this hobby.

How many software programmers does it take to change a light bulb?
None, that's a hardware problem.

My first Sailor Moon cel was a bit silly-looking shot of Uranus and Neptune, but I later found out it was from one of my favorite episodes. I polished it up with a better matching background than the one it came with.
My very first cel was from Battle Athletes Victory, 2 years ago at Katsucon. (Wow, that's scary...)

I've been collecting since May 1999 and I still have my first cel. I am too sentimental to part with it.
(Then again I'm too sentimental to part with ANY of them...)
I got it from Christy, and it can be viewed here for those interested.

Sailor Moon was the beginning to my collection. I purchased my first cel in late 1999 (I think, I can never remember these things). It was a cel of Diana, the one of her in Mako's handbag. I absolutely loved it, and obtained it at an incredibly cheap price. SM is one of those series that you want to collect all of the characters, but short of owning a small empire (or fortune), it can become rather difficult to do so. The guardian cats were always a favorite of mine, so for the most part I decided to stick to collecting them. I absolutely *love* Diana; she reminds me so much of my own little girl (who's no longer around :sniff: ) so the cels kind of carry on as a reminder of her. I was able to hold off from purchasing a second or third cel, but once I did, I was hooked. ^^;;
