Oversize Cels

In real life I'd prefer horizontal photos any day.

But when it comes to cels I am rather character-centric. So all the pan cels I've bought (excluding one) have been vertical pans. All the good horizontal pan cels I might want have been bought by another collector.

So it's hard to say how much I would want horizontal pan cels since they have never been available for me.

This poll needed a c) "both" or "don't care". I've got a few oversized cels and it never entered my mind whether or not to buy because of which way it's going.

Too true Birdie, I've got some nice vertical pan shots of character and equally nice horizontal shots of skylines, thus I couldn't vote either way.

When I think about it too much I consider the positives of both orientations, the wide ones are very filmic & panoramic, which are cool and the long ones appear as banners reminding me of wall hangings and dojo scrolls etc. It's all good!

From what I've seen of thrm, I tend to prefer vertical pans to horizontal. It's not a consideration for me on which cel to buy, though- it's just that I've seen more vertical pans that I like than horizontal.
