Oh! I see now. You actually take it apart and then fit it around the artwork. Interesting . . .

A frame like that will have to detach somehow. For most of the metal frames I've seen, each side detaches. The bottom/back of the fames are joined together using an 'L' connector and then tightened using screws.

If you have a lot of space in the area where you put the cels and matt, you will probably need to buy some acid free mat board to put behind it and fill in the space (depending on the type of frame).

Metal...but mostly because it looks better in the rooms I'm hanging them, truthfully if a wood frame went better, I'd switch in a heartbeat... :D So I suppose that means I don't really have a preference, but I do own more metal frames... X|

I only have 1 framed cel but it just took so much :$$$: I just kinda got turned off lol! it was about 90 buckos.. then again its an 11X 17 cel :emb
