I only have 3 rivals w/ Ranma 1/2 cels. O.O 
One dealer, one on ebay, and one on yhj.
Only one of them being really tough competition for me for Shampoo cels.
For Naruto, I really only have 1 rival and thats myself.

As odd as it sounds, I've been so rabid collecting Kiba
sketches I actually up-ed the price on him and
created a weird market where he's always in demand LOL!
a minor character from Naruto who now costs as much as Itachi
or feral Naruto... eeep!

But I have no choice, I am my own worst competitor I want him so badly
I'd pay anything to have him (especially a nice shot)
Though I've been really good lately and haven't bought up
a certain set I've had my heart set on since its been up.
*sigh* I 'guess' furniture and saving up for h.m. trip is more 'important'....

I never considered anyone a rival. The was only one time some six years ago where some rare DBZ cels were been put on yahoo JP, and this japanese collector (mostly probably AHWW) was hogging them all. A set of three cels came up that I moderately liked, but I thought to myself- 'i'm not gonna let you win this time!' and so placed a ridiculeous bid of 64,000 yen. I WON, but, they were worth far far less.

Now that that's over with ...
... This made me laugh so hard. It reminds me of me and my favorite character, although I know I'm not just competing against myself in trying to get cels of him. But, even if I was, I would still be out there, willing to pay pretty much anything for those primo shots. That's anime LUV, baby!!
