Such a cool shot, even though the background is unmatching, it still compliments the cel well. Wicked.

I can't believe that I saw a cel like this in a NYC store in the late 60s or early 70s, had enough $$$ to buy it, and still walked right past it then on the way to buy classical LPs at Sam Goody's instead. That brings back wonderful memories -- of being alive when the album came out and of living long enough to see Ringo at one of his Radio City Hall appearances.
Wonderful cel!

Wonderful cel!
Is curious: How much were they going for 'back in the day'?sensei wrote: I can't believe that I saw a cel like this in a NYC store in the late 60s or early 70s, had enough $$$ to buy it, and still walked right past it then on the way to buy classical LPs at Sam Goody's instead.

IIRC there was a lovely one of Sgt. Pepper's band, a group scene of all four Beatles, and a very funny one of Nowhere Man, all for $50 apiece. Later I heard that many of the low-end ones were sold for something like $19.95 in Hallmark Card stores.samiamew wrote:Is curious: How much were they going for 'back in the day'?
Heh. I get to pick again. I love your CCS, IY, and TnN holdings, but you have such good taste that I enjoy still more looking at the series that I don't know at all, knowing I'll find beauties like

Love the billowing hair and ribbons: daintiness and dynamism all rolled together.
That's crazy about the Yellow Sub cels, sensei - & that's definitely a nice a really nice piece with Ringo, samiamew!
I just love everything about this sequence!
