To answer your question, it's a reproduction cel from an opening of Hikaru no Go. It is a gorgeous cel in perfect condition.

Our work is starting "limited production" (or they're nice way of saying lay-off) here soon... not so good news for my bank account. It's good thing I've been trying to slowly rebuild after the horrible year and a half I've had. Since I've decided to stay in the hobby the two cels that I plan to keep through thick and thin are:

Episode 25 Hilda from Outlaw Star... I wanted a cel from this sequence since I -very- first started collecting, when I saw this on Mandarake, I went crazy.. and I've loved her since I opened the package:

This cel of Fred Luo from Outlaw Star. I pined after this shot in Cindy's gallery the first time I saw it, and any time (and I do mean ANY time) Cindy had a sale or offers, I would ask about Fred. Finally she gave in and he's mine all mine!!! I just -love- him! ^_^

animeobsessed - Thanks for the reply. Yes it's definitely shows. I never finished Hikaru no Go (not for lack of interest more for lack of time back in 2005) but I still like the series a lot, maybe I'll try catching up.

HotIce - Yes the dreaded words, "limited production", "restructuring", "mergers", "redundancy" and the list could go on and on. Glad to hear you decided to stay, me too I just can't see myself giving it up unless I or my family was in such -dire- circumstances which we're not... Actually this year I finally finished paying off my parents house. YIPPEE!!!! But enough about me and more about your cels, I am a sucker for lines and although I only know a little bit of Outlaw Star, I love what Hilda is saying here... Of course it helps that she's so sexy in that shot too.

Plus I also know what you mean about offering for your Fred cel, I've done that myself to other collectors! (hehehe... you guys know who you are and thank you for putting up with me.

Hi there! I've been wondering where that Sonic and Sally went.

That's a really nice cel. I don't collect it but I think I understand why people want it. As for your Unico and Cheri you did a fine job picking a background for it. The soft colors goes very well with that cel.

Thanks Kizu! Among the Sonic the Hedgehog fans, there are those who favor the SatAM cartoon with the freedom fighters and the earlier Sonic Archie comics universe, and then there are those who favor the SEGA game universe, where the freedom fighters don't exist. I'm definitely in the SatAM fan group. Theres a reason they call Sonic fans "true blue!"

As for the Cheri and Unico cel, have you ever seen Unico in the Island of Magic? I tried to choose background colors to match those in the movie - Cheri and Unico are at the end of the earth.

Roboflonne - Yes it was a busy day. It closed over 900 pts. Actually my concern is not just the stock market, but because of what's happening a lot of businesses are folding or has folded. It is simply too late for some like some small businesses and even non-profit programs. I guess I get stressed mostly because a lot of this reminds me of something in my past but it is stressful in my work too (seems like every minute someone is yelling at me to monitor some bank). LOL. I hope things do start looking up and quickly as possible.

Toonybabe - Ah well my last romance with Sonic was from the sega games on the gamegear. Remember that?

I know more sonic in the games than on TV. I do not remember seeing Unico Island of Magic but I am familiar with the character. LOL. I feel quite old now.

All, thank you for sharing your cels. As you can see I am not as bummed as I was last Friday and trust me, it wasn't all because the Dow went up today. I am quite happy that there's quite a bit of you that came to cheer me up and shared your lovelies. And some of you that made me laugh or even think about the "basics". I think that's what a community is all about. I go away a much happier person.
