I kind of know how you feel. I broke one of my front teeth when I tripped and landed face first on concrete. Luckily, I was 5 years old at the time so it was just a baby tooth. However, I can still clearly remember the pain to this day.
I'm surprised at the number of cels and sketches I have showing teeth. And here I thought this would be hard. It was just hard narrowing down what to show.
I don't have to go to the dentist but you do.
Say ahh.
What are you doing?
You said no needles!
No, not the drill!
I will kill you when I feel better.
Best of luck to you!

Thanks everyone, this is cheering me up immensely
Fortunately, I'm not in too much pain. Basically the molar had a giant filling in it already, with a relatively thin layer of tooth around it. I broke off about 1/4 of that shell. My tooth itself doesn't really hurt, but the broken part extends slightly below the gumline and is hurting my gums a bit. It's also sharp above the gumline & has a sharp pin sticking out of the remaining tooth, both of which are not good for my tongue. This tooth was going to need a eventually crown anyway, it's been on a crown watch list for years. I'm hoping I can get in to get it prepped within the next few days. The actual crowning process is going to hurt far more than what I'm going through right now ^^;;;;;
And here's another dental emergency cel image:

Kero-chan's deceptively cuddly "plush toy" form conceals a row of unexpectedly lethal choppers:

I hope your procedure goes well. I broke a front tooth during a cops and robbers game when I was 8, and I've had that crowned twice now, as the first one fell off unexpectedly. This one seems to be ready to stay with me for the duration. The process, while icky, was not nearly as traumatic as having my wisdom teeth removed.

I got the crown today. I'm resistant to novacaine, so it hurt like crazy and they had a really difficult time numbing me. Turned out to be a good thing it broke. There was decay under the huge filling which further weakened the tooth's structure... which is why it broke. I was destined for a crown anyway, but I got it before that decay required a root canal. I'll get the real crown in around a week.
I'm glad the worst is over!

Got a little fang action going on here.
Plus a nice shot of some gritted teeth. Oh, and some teeth at work. I probably have more, but . . . not sure if you want to see all of them!
