If there aren't any technical difficulties, we could open the viewing/voting earlier(21st?/22nd?), but right now, I'm trying to leave a window in the event that there is a problem. However, having voting/viewing after August 31 seems less likely due to scheduling. In any event, I'll be more prepared to post on that once all submissions have been received.

The link to the website, http://basketch09.zero-space.net , has been updated on the front page.
Just head to the website when the voting is opened(Sunday at 8pm PST) and click on "Submit my entries". You'll upload your images here.

You mean when entry submission is opened?cutiebunny wrote:Just head to the website when the voting is opened(Sunday at 8pm PST) and click on "Submit my entries".

I would also recommend that everyone read the following (instructions for entry submission using the web site):

If you entered last year's cel awards, the process will appear virtually identical.

Sorry about that, Zero. I should know by now that writing in the morning is not wise.
I edited the main listing again due to some questions that I've had. You are permitted to crop an image and submit the cropped image. For example, if you are submitting a layout and only want to submit the portion that is inside the zoom in box, you are free to do that. However, keep in mind that all participants need to be able to view your submissions without incurring eye strain...
Additionally, all nudity needs to go in the hentai area. I realize that some artwork in this area is more detailed than others, but as this standard can vary depending on the viewer, in order to make it easy, nudity needs to go here. I think the best rule of thumb is, if you wouldn't mind seeing this nude person walk past you as you and your five year old stand in line at Disneyland, it's acceptable.

Awkward question: what's the rule on items that we bought, but never actually arrived? Can we still submit the scan of that sketch? It's actually a tough call IMO, because we don't have the item in our possession, but we paid good money for it and it'd be nice to have that spent money be good for SOMEthing. o_0

in my eyes that would be against Rule 2:Leedz wrote:Awkward question: what's the rule on items that we bought, but never actually arrived? Can we still submit the scan of that sketch? You must physically own all artwork ...

Sorry about the extra wait, folks
. The site is open to accept submissions now.
Quick note on animated files: Please be sure your file does not exceed the physical size limit (500px for regular, 600px for pan or oversized) -- this will cause it to be resized by the server and your animation will be lost. You will not likely receive any errors during submission if you exceed the physical size limit, so please check before you submit your files! Hopefully, those approving entries will check that animated entries are indeed animated and will catch any issues like this and contact you.
Also note... while I am providing the hosting and technical expertise this time around, I am NOT the contact person for questions regarding the rules, etc. The only thing I can help with are issues with the web site itself.
(e.g. if you get errors when attempting to submit entries, etc -- contact me. For most other issues, contact cutiebunny or killua).
