Great site, though they are soooooo out of my price range :bawl I doubt I'll ever get my hands on a Disney cel, but I do have high hopes for some Bluth and hopefully a small collection of Batman the Animated Series/Batman Beyond in the future. Out of curiosity, does anyone ever see American animation art on YAJ? Considering a lot of American animation was once outsourced there I'm surprised that I haven't stumbled across any (other than a random cel or two on Mandarake)...

Ahhhhh!! Those Sleeping Beauty cels and concept art ARE TO DIE FOR! The buyer's premium is insane.. ridiculous! They house a lovely Cinderella with production background though~ 8)

There are occasionally american animation cels on yj. I've seen mostly sericels (like this one http://page4.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/d87117422), but a week or so ago I saw some 1980s Dennis the Menace production cels (the seller didn't know the series title).

Hector the Collector loved these things with all his soul,
Loved them more than shining diamonds, loved them more than glistenin' gold.
Hector called to all the people,"Come and share my treasure trunk!"
And all the silly sightless people came and looked...and called it junk.

I am a bit surprised. Some of those pieces I have seen recently sold this year, and now they have a 800% mark up (8 times the price they last sold). They are very very very expensive and some are way overpriced in my opinion. I would be extremely surprised if they sell some of those pieces, especially the ones with the humungous mark up.

Those Sleeping Beauty art pieces are gorgeous! Anyone planning to go for anything?

I personally love a lot of the book illustrations by Richard Scary, but the prices are way too high on a lot of them...

I personally have my eyes on the sketches yet again and a couple of cels.
