This question always exhausts me because I enjoy so many galleries for
various reasons. I always find myself drawn to galleries with attractive
themes, good scans and thoughtful descriptions. Consistency and individuality
allow me to admire the collector as much as the collection. Seeing time
and dedication in the gallery helps me believe the cels are truly appreciated.
With that said, here are some galleries/collectors I love the most and why
(in no particular order):

SME: http://sme.rubberslug.com/ - Not only is she one of my best friends,
she has a wonderful gallery theme and display. Each cel is loaded with extras
which include screencaps, episode numbers, series information and more.
Anyone visiting can tell she is extremely knowledgeable about SM. Certainly
not a fly-by-night collector in the least. It's easy to navigate her site because
it's clear, clean and simple.

Tex-chan: http://geckoblue.rubberslug.com/ - Her tastes in series are
similar to my own. I also enjoy the beautiful quality scans and larger
thumbnails. But the absolute BEST part of her gallery are the "fangirl rants!"
Her descriptions are verbose and personal. It adds the extra special
touch that some galleries lack. Tex takes time to connect with her visitors
and I just love that so much. Her screencaps and episode info are also
delightful treats. She buys to keep and I appreciate that in a collector.

Golden Boy/GB/Lemar: http://home.earthlink.net/~marzcelection/ -
It's evident Lemar is an artist. His scans are of the best/clearest quality
and his web design is elegant. Of course, the bastard's taste in series
overlaps with my own :P But that's all part of what keeps me coming back
to his gallery again and again. He has a real eye for excellent and unique cels as well.
(He has a RS edition of his gallery, but it's not exhaustive).

Hotice: http://puddle.rubberslug.com/ - Another one of my very
best friends (actually, my list seems to be comprised of my best buds :o )
Laura has a lot of love for her collection and it shows. I thoroughly enjoy her
puddles theme (complete with special thumbnails!) and humorous descriptions.
I also really like how she arranges her cels and how promptly she scans
new additions (wish I had half that ambition :ZzZz: ) She has quirky taste
when it comes to odd cels and I really dig that.

Chris: http://chriscelsite.rubberslug.com - Perhaps one of the most unparalleled galleries
I've come across. Chris has, by far, the most varied and expansive collection.
It's exceedingly rare to discovery such diversity. Also, his series descriptions
are extremely informative, entertaining and thoughtful. I always look forward
to his updates, wondering what new series he has added. It's obvious Chris
has a deep love for animation, something any collector can admire.

Vapalla: http://cat.rubberslug.com - Of course Vapalla is on my
list! Her extensive gallery is surely to die for! Her varied and unique interests
always entice me to visit and re-visit her glorious collection. Her scans and
thumbnails are bee-you-tee-full! The colors are crisp, vibrant and truly
magical. Plus, her descriptions are insightful as well as personal. Vapalla
sets the bar in so many ways, I admire her/her collection very much and
strive for such perfection in my own collecting habits.

Which brings me to my final choice for the evening...

Krafty-wafty: http://blueblade.rubberslug.com/ - A collector who's
on top of most people's favorite list, James has exquisite taste and style.
His collection is vast and easy to appreciate from an artistic stand point.
He recognizes beauty, quality and the eclectic, evidenced by his exceptional
gallery design/layout. Clicking through his gallery, I always stumble upon
a new treasure worth admiration. I often wonder where he finds so many
precious gems. Krafty is a serious art collector with boundless knowledge and
anomalous flare. He and his collection have immeasurable personality.

I know there's more, but I'm kind of brain dead right now. Forgive me if
I return later and most more names. X|

Seems that many people have a hard time choosing some faves. It shouldn't be that hard, just think about which sites you regularly return to because the majority of artwork appeals to you.

There are lots of other galleries I'd like to mention and I don't want others to feel left out if I don't acknowledge them. There are many galleries that have cels I love to visit over and over, but that may account for only 2 or 3 series out of 20 in their collection; so I couldn't class it as my favourite overall gallery.

A little note to Klet, HotIce and others who may feel their sites are underappreciated- that's silly because I for one visit regularly and enjoy the experience every time. I'm just not too vocal about it ;)
I'm confident there are plenty of other collectors who feel the same.

Thanks to Keropi and WC for the positive comments, now I know that they're regular visitors, I have a lot to live up to... :x *the pressure* j/k

I agree with you there. I haven't posted in this thread due to that I love too many galleries and I don't want others to feel left out that I might not mention, while I still visit their galleries.

I do have a "link" page where I have serveral of my favorite sites listed, but not all. I haven't had time to really update my "link" page.

Actually, as long as you are happy with your gallery, that is
all that matters anyway, right?? I mean I personally don't
buy my cels because I hope other collectors will like them, I
buy them because I like them. ^_^

As for my favorite galleries that I visit most often - easy:

Hikaru No Go and Inuyasha both:

AnimeJewell and AnimeObsessed

http://animejewell.rubberslug.com/gallery/home.asp
http://obsessed.rubberslug.com/gallery/home.asp

Lucky for me they are side by side so I don't have far to go. :)

Inuyasha - this one is sooooo easy:

My two favorites would be Birdie's and The Dog House.

http://onihime.rubberslug.com/gallery/home.asp
http://doghouse.rubberslug.com/gallery/home.asp

Naruto would be Shampoo's gallery:

http://shampoo.rubberslug.com/gallery/home.asp

Dragonball would go to Last True Saiyans & Quint's gallery

http://quint.rubberslug.com/gallery/home.asp
http://last.rubberslug.com/gallery/home.asp

And for overall, it would be Jenn's, Baylor's and Tex-Chans

http://jenn.rubberslug.com/gallery/home.asp
http://geckoblue.rubberslug.com/gallery/home.asp
http://allenschezar.rubberslug.com/gallery/home.asp

I know there are other's out there that have magnificent galleries,
but these are the ones I visit on a regular basis.

Oh, and for non RS galleries - Maiken's is best - hands down!! :o

Same here. I could go on and on about the number of sites I love, but
I'm trying to restrain myself. :D I also have a links page with more favorites listed.

I haven't kept up with changes like I would in my gallery.
Thanks Zag for the shout-out!:D Especially as my gallery has been open and closed over the last few months.

Like others, I do have a links page on the gallery.

And way back when, I made a list of Rs galleries off site.

I do still visit many of the galleries posted, just not as frequently as a few months ago. Seems I have not had the interest in cels like I use to.
Sorry I haven't been as interested or had the time to do the major work I wanted to the gallery also. :(

Thanks Toni, I really appreciate your comments on my gallery. Obviously you know you are definitely one of my favorite galleries to visit. /no1 :hitting:

As to which are my favorites, as many have said I have a list of links on my RS site of people I frequently visit. I have it divided into people that I talk to on a semi-regular basis and people who I don't talk to but I enjoy visiting their galleries pretty often.

When these people have updates to their gallery, I'm usually right in there within the first hour or so of the update. Of course, I love visiting other people's galleries as well, and some haven't been listed yet because I keep forgetting to add them to my list.

I dun post too often, but this thread is a great chance to give some props to ppl whose collections I truly still take the time to simply view and love and want to assure them, their taste and dedication to the hobby is neither overlooked nor forgotten.

http://homage.rubberslug.com/gallery/home.asp
Transmit, his page has grown by leaps and bounds over the years, but he will always be renowned in my mind for the most stunning collection of Big O setups essentially ever. A magnificent testament to a truly difficult series to collect.

http://tokyoanime2.rubberslug.com/gallery/home.asp
Poe. This kiddo really needs no introduction. If you ever blushed during an after hours convo on RS, chances are she was online. Truly puts to the rest te argument of quality over quantity. Her collection has trimmed over time to truly the best of the best in shots, and like the gentle cel teacher she is, I feel my collection etching towards the same refined direction. (Trivia: Poe sold Startyde his first ever Kite Cels)

http://acetateaddiction.rubberslug.com/gallery/home.asp
Jenn and Steph. It's been too long since I've spoken to them, tragic in and of itself, but two nicer people you could not find. Their collection is incredibly varied, and gallery design screams of intense passion for the subjects and characters at hand. Cute, cuddly, gamers, art collections, Mezzo Fans...what more could you ask for? (Trivia: Steph has given me some of the most unique gifts I have ever received in my time just for the heck of it, including a Not Sold in Store Gradius V demo and Skimpy Cat Girl Drawing...)

http://animejewell.rubberslug.com/gallery/home.asp
Linda. I don't know where she came from...she may be as renowned as the cosmos, and as such, defies most conventional logic by retaining a massive collecting of A class cels. I can't even begin to narrow down her tastes as they are so varied, but if you can pit Vampire Hunter D, Words Worth and Golden Boy in a single gallery, you have my vote. (Trivia: Linda and Jon have bought and sold the same WW setup to each other...dun ask)

http://blueblade.rubberslug.com/gallery/home.asp
James. Brother in arms. Keeper of the flame. Retainer of the best Mezzo Forte collection in existence, and yes, I humbly concede this without argument. I do not need to elaborate on what a renaissance collector this man is, but rather, I chose to mention his amazing artistic flair, creative design in both site layout and series acquisition and say without a shadow of a doubt, he is one of the kindest, long lasting and genuine friends you could ever hope to make in this hobby. (Trivia: Jon and Krafty combined forces to defeat the power of Ziggystardust in a momentous battle of will years ago. Furthermore, Krafty waited almost two years to see the spoils of this victory and did so without suing me...that is friendship :P)

http://wanderingstudent.rubberslug.com/gallery/home.asp
Mar. Seems like just yesterday I was begging him to share his wealth of cels with the RS world. Absolutely astounding collection of Golden Boy from all aspects. Truly enviable selection of key setups one can only acquire with godlike contacts and friendships, which is no surprise seeing Lemar is one of the most sincere ppl I have ever met in life, never mind this hobby. Like an older brother, always there for guidance and advice. Excellent web design skills to boot.

http://shelliesgallery.rubberslug.com/gallery/home.asp
Shellie. I dun know much about G Gundam, but Shellie could make you see the light in anything. Amazing stash of Gundam cels with a touch of Big O for good measure. Women and robots...that's what it's about...

http://mendo.rubberslug.com/gallery/home.asp
Mendo. I don't personally know him, but simply have to give props to one of the best Words Worth collections on the net. Amazing collection that could only have been done through passion and patience. A great place to chill and take in some true beauty.

http://nylock.rubberslug.com/gallery/home.asp
Crazy ass Devilman lady collection. Nuff said.

Anyhoo, these are the gallery and ppl I instinctively think of when I think of long lasting effects on the cel world. Check them out when you can, you only miss out not to.

I have been strugaling with this topic there are two sites that I just love Both are run by the best people ever.

The first is Chris' Cel Site I just love his Guyver cels its one of my favorite animes.

The other is Aernath's Heartthrobs agian bleach being one of my favorite animes.

If I had a gun pointed at me and had to choose I would have to say Aernath's. Leah has such a fantastic collection of bleach sketches I know chris also has some, but leah's hankens are unbeatable. I do not know anyone who loves an anime character as much as she does. If Ichigo was alive he would have a retsrianing order agaist her lol (only kidding)

Aww my goodness, you guys! That's so sweet of you to mention me ^_^
To have two such devoted and classy collectors like yourselves mention
me is beyond flattering.

I admire both of your respective collections as well. Both feature opulent
gallery designs with an exquisite variety of high quality cels.

I applaud how dedicated Zetsuai is to her favorite series. Her display is
informative and exhaustive. The animated gifs, illustrating the cel's use
in the production, are such a treat. It proves how much time she puts
into her display. Coupled with high quality scans and tasteful site graphics,
Zetsuai's gallery is gorgeous to look at and easy to appreciate. I consider
her to be the aficionado of Minami Ozaki's works.

Ronin's gallery houses almost all of my favorite series. As an artist, he
comprehends the beauty of simplicity and the significance of elegance.
His gallery design is my absolute favorite of all those on RS. I find myself
visiting his gallery often, especially when there's a new update. We share
some of the same affinities. I consider him a good friend, a knowledgable
collector and a true connoisseur.

Which reminds me! I totally forgot to mention Shellie X| I always hate
answering these questions because I end up forgetting an obvious answer.

Shellie has such a stunning selection of cels, primarily focused on the
series she enjoys the most: G Gundam! I, too, enjoy G Gundam very
much and feel it is an underappreciated series. To find such a committed
and devoted collector of this series... and to have the pleasure of
communicating with her (via email, chat or PM) is beyond delightful.
She does not collect for popularity or attention. Shellie honestly adores
her collection and her gallery is evidence of that commitment. And I've
never met a nicer person than her. Shellie a treasure to the cel collecting community.
