I've done this before -- bid on a lot of cels for only one, then sold the rest. I always start auctions for the other items at their fair share of the ending price of the lot.

When I first started I bid on lots when I wanted just a few pieces. My newbie mistake during the time was that my bid price would also pay for the -rest- of the lot, thinking that I could just recuperate my cost selling the ones I don't want. Bad idea... I ended up with pieces that was hard to sell even at a loss.

My adivse would be, yes bid however bid only for how much the pieces that you like is worth to you. Do not bid in "anticipation" of... :)

A lot of the series I collect tend to be sold in lots. I just keep them all. XD
