EDIT- Though that cel you linked to IS my most expensive cel, ever.. lol.
LOL. I didn't really notice the price ;) Well the wonderful thing about having a cel collection on a specific character is you can tell other people about your favorite a bit more. Just like how you explained this cel http://sletia.rubberslug.com/gallery/in ... mID=238060

I'm pissed abt the financial situation becoz it has affected the man in the street. I really think the bank honchos who caused this in the first place shd not get away scot free. I'm not sure if the market is a true reflection of the economy as it could juz be an over reaction.

Anyhow, here is one of my fave cels:

You're rite in how my babies cheer me up when things get bad. I know Saitou does wonders for you eh?

Yeah...on Thursday I elected to increase my 401K pre-tax contributions from 6% to 10%. I was thinking of sending a few thousand to my Roth IRA since I haven't bought much artwork lately and excess money is actually accumulating at my bank for a change. 8O

Here's a couple pieces that keep me happy:

I am sorry to hear that you are so bummed. We can all definitely feel the effects of the economy strain.

So, in light of this thread, here is my "Holy Grail:

sletia - Yes. I know you can :D

bran-chan - And yes it makes me laugh too! Such a cute cel of Goku and Vegeta. Oddly enough (or maybe not so odd) I think it's very in character! :)

Cordelia - It's true that investors are gripped with fear right now. It should calm down soon, although it's very important to get control of the situation before it actually starts spilling into other industries, after all businesses rely on credit for their operations. And you know what I knew you'd pick that cel. It's such a beautiful one of Misao-chan.

Keropi - Savings is always good, most of the people i know though redistributed their allocations into more safer investments moving them away from large cap and into something safer like bonds. Don't know if you did that but yeah, if there's no cels catching your eye right now what better thing to do than to pay yourself first ;) Nice cel and I can see why the Higurashi one makes you laugh like that. ;)

star-phoenix - Yeah just bummed. So many people I know are just bummed. It's kind of stressing to be always around that kind of environment. I remember catching all your updates with regards to your Disney cels. I'm really glad for you and thanks for sharing them!

Belldandy16 - 1st cel - Very nice cel, I can see why it means so much to you. I like Batman too actually :) I don't know much about cel #2 unfortunately but it reminds me of a saying nothing is ever a coincidence (hehe). Cel #3 I never saw that series but that man is a very important part of my life as well. ;)

ah and never forget, He will hold you close through the storms! :) (i know someone will of course dissagree... and theyre more than welcome to.. but) i think America needs a serious wake up call... and i think were just starting to hear it. But like He says, we dont have to be afraid of fear. He's always in control and will never let our situations we're in fall from his control. :)

take care and please cheer up my friend! :D
it might not get better soon but it will be alright. :)

The economy's current state's enough to turn thousands into mattress savers (I wonder what people with futon's do? :P )
Sorry to hear it's got you down, but glad to hear you've got something to get your mind off it

The item in my gallery I love most and probably won't be letting go of this century:
http://requiem.rubberslug.com/gallery/i ... mID=179037
One of the few shot of that fit exactly with scene I was looking for, and since it's marked A1End I know that if I part with it, there's no getting it back (not likely anyway  )

and my favorite character so in turn one of my favorite finds:
http://requiem.rubberslug.com/gallery/i ... mID=253372
The only genga I've seen from the series at all, so happy it turned out to be Lavi :D

Umm. Since when? What is the greatest nation on Earth?

This thread made me realize haven't update my favorite cels section for a long time. *or anything else*

I'm not going to narrow it down, since that would require me to think way too hard and I'm way too tired for that right now.

lcatino - I've seen that Inu before! I used to oggle it all the time because it's a great cel. As for Sasuke, he's one of my favorite Naruto characters. *smile*

Belldandy16 - Oh yeah. It is one thing I -firmly- believe in. It's been a rather stormy life (but I've been blessed to have a few serendipitous experiences as well) thanks for reminding me. As they say, "stay the course" :D

crackpot27 - Oh definitely, I hear that at work all the time, people wanting to take out their money and put it under the mattress but if everyone did that I think we'd have more problems in our hands. Oh yeah and cels always do that, that's why I started collecting! Congrats on your Orphen, it's really great when you get a particular shot/scene that you are aiming for. Well worth letting go of some of our favorites to other collectors (I did this with a few of my Saitou cels too). As for Lavi, that's a very nice detailed sketch!

kathpatty - You know I've always said I was bringing Saitou to the grave with me but as you say that would be too sad. I like that Tamahome, very dynamic. Worth what you paid for. :) I've never seen Basara but from the looks of it, is it BL/yaoi? Anyway, that is true, it's not like I've lost anything (aside from my mind) but it would be a sad day I think if I don't get to buy cels/sketches/stuff.... Hehehe! I need to learn to be more simple (but then anime came along...) ;)

animeobsessed - I can relate to being tired. Hehe... Besides they are all nice cels to view and perhaps my favorite one would be Hikaru. Forgive my ignorance, I was wondering if that is a repro or rilezu? I also love your Escaflowne cels a very nice shot from that sequence. Sure I could mention Kenshin but I think that's already a given with me. Hehe!

uchiha615 - I don't see anything you should be sorry for! In fact Sasuke is a favorite character of mine (although my gallery definitely doesn't show it). Besides i should've been clearer that all artwork is welcome in this thread, I'm just so used to saying "cels" is all. Wait that is a cel... I'm confusing aren't I? Hehe! :)
