Isn't it the hugest relief when that auction timer hits "0" and doesn't extend? That has happened to me a couple of times, and, both times, I was totally exhausted from the stress of waiting and, then, the relief of knowing the auction was really "over"
Many thanks Tex! You're completely right, the auto-extend feature on YJ is a real pest because it can be both harsh and exhilerating. When it extends and you're the overall winner, these victories are the best because you know that you were the most deserving bidder on the day and the item went to the person who really wanted it most.
With that hanken above, I think the timer extended 4 or 5 times so it wasn't too frustrating.
To be honest, I still don't even have the money to pay for her but I wanted her most and will scrape the cash together
I was watching all the other auctions around her close and get bid-up all the time. I'm sure than the end of one auction lasted over an hour because a few people kept bidding in the last minute which bumped the timer up another 5 mins. Starting at 30,000y and ending at over 60,000y- you can imagine how long that took with the feeble bids people tend to use.
It strikes me odd how most Japanese bidders only bid 500y or 1000y at a time for an auction over 20,000y. They're better off putting in their big bids and letting it run. It's not as though they have a bid limit like us and our deputy services.
