Please make sure you read the revised voting procedure on the first page of this thread. I had to change things a bit due to the fact that Beta PM system only holds a minimal amount of messages. You will instead be sending in your votes to my email address. If you have already written out your ballot, double check just in case things were changed since then. Remember, all those who entered must vote. Good luck to everyone!

All,

I was thinkink about something for the Awards. We could nominate the Best cel of the Anime Beta Awards 2006. I mean wich one do you prefer out of all. Like on the MTV music awards, there are best hip hop, rock and so on but there is also Song of the year of best music Video. As the voting period is starting tomorow we could add this vote. Maybe it is too late and we could if you think it is a good idea for next year,

what do you think blueheaven ?

Holy smokes that was hard!! 8O But I'm ready to roll...

I had to resort to my back-up team of tie-breakers on several categories for me... and at least half of them I really wish I could vote for two or three each.

What an impressive bunch of artwork!!!!

It's kind of late for a suggestion like that. Maybe next year, when someone else does the awards, we'll have a "Best in Show" award.

A little reminder: voting for your own cel is perfectly acceptable

I totally agree. Voting was VERY hard this year. I would have things narrows to two and then got stumped and would have to stare of them. Incredible group of entries this year. :)

Quick reminder of the announcement made yesterday:

We are NOT using the Beta PM system to send in votes. Send all submissions to loweryk1@yahoo.com

Sorry for any confusion

Done and Done. Vote sent. There were a few sections that I was struggling with in terms of picking just one cel.

Congrats to everyone for having such amazing cels.

But if he only voted for cels, then that statement doesn't apply. :nya:

:sweatdrop I meant ALL the entries were amazing. Of course there were some really awesome sketch/genga/douga/layout entries as well that will get a lot of votes....that goes without saying. I should've been more careful with my wording

Nah, you worded it fine. I knew what you meant and I tend to do the same thing, accidentally using the word "cels" to cover all "production art." It's just easier to slip in a monosyllabic term or use "cels" as a sort of abbreviation. You didn't offend anyone with your statement. :)

This year's entries are spectacular. Good luck to everyone who entered and good luck to voters trying to make a final decision!

Maybe we could do an MVP type thing? It would be more of an unofficial award, but still carry bragging rights.
