I suppose it's a "live and learn" thing anyhow. :)
Me too! Ah well, at least I'm at that point now. So if I really want something, all I can say is watch out. :evil2 Of course, I'm currently on a break. :^^:

I can't really say that I have any "regrets" in this hobby. Usually, if I get outbid on a cel, that's because I either didn't have enough money to buy it, I didn't want it enough, or it went for a ridiculous amount.

Of course, I've been disappointed when I've lost artwork before. I get over it pretty quickly, though. I don't save images, so I usually even forget!

There are only two major disappointments I can think of, and one minor one. First was a Dilandau cel that went up for auction around Christmas in my first year of collecting. It went for more than I've spent on a cel, even now. Back then, it was a fortune. :(

Another disappointment came a year or so ago. There was a HxH ending cel up that I wanted desperately. I even talked the seller into shipping internationally (I would have to send the money in yen through the mail). It just ended for too much. A beta member won it, though I haven't seen it in her gallery yet. :(

A minor one happened a few months ago. There was a smiling Shaoran in his battle costume that was super cute. I kind of wanted it, but I didn't bid, since I was pretty much looking at graduating without a job lined up. It didn't go for an extreme amount of money, and I probably would have been able to purchase him if I had it to spare, but unfortunately, I didn't at the time.

This may be true for me too... it's such an addiction and a expensive one.

To be more specific, there is one Mandarake auction I lost b/c the countdown went haywire and it didn't accept my bid during a time extension. This was on a Gravitation cel. Some here may even remember since I was so bummed out. Plus, the person who has it never added another cel to their RS gallery after that one.

I also have yet to find a sequence mate I bought. I know I received both of them, in fact I had 4 from the sequence, sold the A1, and should have the A2, A3 and A10, but can't find the A2. I tend to steer away from sequence mates now. Hopefully, when I rearrange my cel books completely, I will find it since it's a $400 IY cel. I really hope it didn't go into the garbage with a bunch of cardboard.

....it also might indicate I have more cels/sketches than I should and I'm a little disorganized right now. X|

Oh, I've been there. While moving back and forth between the house and the dorms a couple of years back, I couldn't remember if I had taken an Esca sketch out of the cardboard or not, and all the cardboard was under my sister's bed. So, I had to call her late at night to tell her not to throw any of it away. X| Of course, I found it in my cel books a day or two later, but it was still scary.

Yup! I know a cel you don't have in your gallery. The one I'm speaking of you've had for about 2 years now. Slacker! :nya:

*ducks while AO contemplates how many years I've been hiding a few items* :emb It's on my to-do list. :sweatdrop

Eh, I can't say I have any real regrets (besides not being wealthy enough to buy all the cels I wanted, lol). But there have been a few auctions I've lost out on because I was at work and was therefore unable to keep snipers at bay  But such is life. I just try to think of it as "Well, that's x amount of money I saved today!"

Ah. Only just? I'm not sure if I would like to try to think of it as Well that is x amount of money he or she saved. What's it like?
