VHD was a gloriously lovely piece of art, possibly Madhouse's masterpiece. I love the liquid quality of Charlotte's hand here.

Yeah she's just on the verge of turning there to reveal her rather prickly powers! I loved all the character concepts in VHDB and I think as far as movie art goes it really is second to none. That said I felt that it was kind of obvious from the start that the Markus brothers were fodder for Meier and the Barbarois mercs fodder for D. So much so that the fights when they did happen weren't very satisfying (a bit like my problem with Ninja Scroll). In balance though I did like the conclusion between Meier and D that was alot better thought out.

Anyway I waffle your galleries full of treasure, infact the only way I could possibly find a bigger haul is either by defeating a Dragon or finding and exploring a sunken Spanish galleon full of bullion from the new world never destined to reach mother Spain. This is one such fabulous example!

lol I remember first watching this about 15years ago in high-school.
I lent out my VHS tape to a mate & didn't get it back for at least three weeks after as the movie was passed along to others in my class who were wanting to watch & experience "Ninja Scroll".

Thanks! Heh. Yeah, it has been quite a while, for the most part. I doubt I'll go back to posting regularly again ... but I kind of got a wild hair or something today and wanted to send my admiration along for some great artwork.

Speaking of which ...

I adore your Ninja Scroll collection (which I'm sure I've told you before!). This piece, in particular, is a favorite. It is so beautiful but in a brutal, almost shocking way. And I love the gorgeous, rich blue tones used in it. Just an incredibly expressive image.
