What websites do you browse or shop at?

Post by miz ducky »

I'm sure that there are a lot of sites out there, but I only know of a few.

Even if I don't buy stuff all the time, I still like to go look at the pictures!

So, let us compile a list of places that sell cels/sketches online!

Same here. Alot of other sites have closed or don't keep up with their inventory anymore due to the depletion of cels available.

The site is running on auto now, but still kind of useful. Some of the sites are pings from a host looking for someone to buy the domain and others are not showing their current address. :?

I forgot to mention that we have a links section here at Beta. You can find the links section on the header of what ever page you use here

I check this really cool website online....

I think it's called Anime-Alpha?

They have a real nice Sale and Ebay forum section that I look at everyday!

I get all my cels from Pocket. nah...just kidding. :D

It's funny how often I keep checking websites even when they've never updated for a very long time (like a year to two years). I keep thinking that maybe someday they'll put something up that I'll always regret missing.

I'm waiting for those two-year updates. :^^:

Honestly I don't know if we want to divulge all our sources, especially to collectors who want the same things- it's just adding to the competition.
I don't mean to be rude or selfish saying that, but it's a thought that came to mind.

Networking is paramount, I know I've said that in another similar thread.

I've found that some of the best ways to obtain artwork have been through other collectors. Keep good relations with a range of other people because they might offer some of their artwork to you or know of others who are selling what you want etc.
If you know some Japanese collectors they can point you in the direction of specialist retailers close to them.

But generally speaking you should always check out the threee main auction sites- Yahoo Japan, Ebay and Mandarake.

Visit the various deputies too [Celga, Rinkya, ShoppingMallJapan] for info on other auction sites/webpages they'll buy stuff from.
