How many cels are in your "to scan" pile?

I've never been very good about scanning things as soon as I receive them. Instead, I tend to pile up the parcels and leave them for weeks (and months) to scan at a later date. I finally started working through this stack and it was a fun little trip down memory lane. There were things I bought a year ago in this mountain and it got me thinking, "How many cels do others have waiting to be scanned like this?"

I recently started scanning these items and will upload them eventually (that's a whole other beast...

) It looks like I have roughly 50-100 cels to scan and update with. How many do you have? Why is it so hard to keep up with scanning? Do you buy too much and can't keep up the pace? Or is there some other reason?

I don't think I buy too much or too quickly. It's just too easy to avoid the responsibility of "gallery maintenance." There's always some other important business that needs tending to and cels tend to get the back burner.

Having the cel is the most important thing, displaying it online is a bonus. I love sharing my collection but I definitely neglect the proper up-keep. I admire the gallery owners who update frequently and in a timely fashion. Kudos! Wish I had that kind of gumption.

as it stands.. by myself, maybe 10 cels/sketches...?

But Im combining my gallery w/ rayd so in total about 60-80 items >_<;;

I've yet to sit down and work on scanning anything.

Just haven't been bitten by the cel gallery bug yet lol!

W/ me its all about motivation to get me to update.

Even if the
piece is something to squeal or drool over

(well for me that is lol!

)
if I dont think its worth the time to sit down and scan and tweak
for folks to see, either because Im busy w/ other things or
I dont thinnk anyone will be interested..
I just seal the puppy up and back in the celbook it goes.

they are at home, so maybe I'll add them this weekend while I'm home for thanksgiving!!

63 full cuts from various series
and more on the way.
plus another couple series that are scanned but not up on my site yet.
plus, I've uploaded about 24 new series that I don't even have names under the images let alone descriptions.

things were so much easier before sketches! a cel here, a cel there.

i feel so hopeless - I just keep scaning but I'm not getting anywhere.

Usually I get my cels up within a day of receiving them, so currently I have
no unscanned items.

Though, I did just request a shipment from SMJ so I should have new ones
to scan by next week.

I think about 10 that I couldn't add to my last gallery update... the main reason is because I scan them at work (this scanner is much better and faster than the one I have at home), and due to all the problems i've had lately at the office I haven't been able to scan them nor add the background... so as soon as I have time I'll do it.

Because I've been so busy, I actually have two cels that I have to ID first, and about 18 more that I haven't scanned yet.

Maybe I'll make it a New Year's goal:

To scan those 20 cels!

I have a few updates coming soon, but I pretty much update right after I receive the cels and often times before I even receive them because I get so excited I update and list them as in transit. It is funny, I have to make myself SLOW DOWN on the quick updating!
