Post Your Newest Sketch/Genga/douga/etc...

Post by EternityOfPain »

Yes... This is a spin off the original "Post your Newest Cel." If the mods feel this is a redundent thread feel free to remove it. Basically this thread is for all your newest Sketch/Genga/douga/etc... (anything except cels basically).

As you can see from my website there is many new entries recently (acutally uploaded two days ago).

However the "newest" (meaning latest purchased) is my Yoko pan:

(I actually just recieved it in the mail yesterday!)

EOP, your Yoko is just lovely. I just love pan shots- even though they are a pain to store!

I just got a package from Anime Museum yesterday. So, of course, I wanted to show my new Kyouya off!

Thank You! Your sketch is nice as well. As far as storing them, for me I have a system and it makes it very easy. Currently both my pans are sitting in 4 mil mylar 18 1/2 x 24 1/2 ( item #1824R) purchased from http://www.egerber.com/items/archives.htm (This place is great, there are 2 mil mylar however I keep all my best sketches (what you see online) in 4 mil mylar). Then I lay them flat in a Clamshell Box, 18" × 24" (acid-free and lignin free (pH 8.5)), purchased from http://www.dickblick.com/zz153/02/ . Its a great store, I store all my sketches in these boxes and store them under my bed in containers.

I disclosed it yesterday, though admittedly not in this thread:

http://www.anime-beta.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=20235

Or for the whole run of sketches, start here! There are more to come, but this batch is the most interesting in the lot that I won, and they go together nicely.

What is scary is that when I opened them up, I knew exactly what a kabutomushi was and what was going on in these images. Sometimes I think I channel Japanese popular culture in my sleep.

Of which I'll get a lot more now that grades are in for the semester... :coffee:

That's a layout, which is done, as usual, on pre-printed studio paper. The three spaces on the top, left to right, are for [kanji] [= Title of series], NO [= episode number] and C. [= cut, or sequence of cels]. Looks like it reads: "Escaflowne, Episode 20, cut 287." [That would be close to the end of the episode, as generally each episode comprises about 300 cuts.]

Anybody wanna come and look at some Powerpuff Girls Z sketches? The series is probably not great anime but the images are great fun. Half are up at http://sensei.rubberslug.com/gallery/ma ... esID=26660 and the rest (dealing with the giant bug tournament) are at http://sensei.rubberslug.com/gallery/ma ... esID=27010

Couldn't help adding one more from my newest batch, arrived today. They really are surprisingly nice for the new generation of genga-less, douga-less CGI series.
