It's the end of another year again.

What are your favorite cels and/or sketches that you've acquired in 2006?

Well, my records are a shambles due to a hard drive crash with my old
computer, so here are my top three picks based on what I definitely
remember buying this year. Besides these, I've also had several nice gifts
throughout the year which I'm very thankful for.

1) Bloodberry bathing

2) Battle Athletes hanken cel

3) Amala (devadasy cels) I bought these at the same time, so I lump them
together. Very unique cels that got a lot of positive comments.

I'm sure one of the peanut gallery will have to make a remark about how
all three have nude/near-nude females

I have too many favorites! I'll try to keep it short.

Started the year with my FY OP of Miaka
Then got my Kanno watercolor
A rare win for me on Mandarake - Kyou Kara Maou layouts

My quirky wishlist cel: The birds from Wish!
My first AX landed me a FY OP of Hotohori (a small wish

)
My fav ebay purchases: Suzaku and Tasuki & Chichiri Hanken repro
And finally, my Saiunkoku Monogatari rilezu of Ryuuki *squeels*

I have another for the list, but it's still in Japan - FY Hanken repro of Miaka, Tamahome, and Hotohori.

Yeah..that was super condensed for me..I managed not to mention Aki, Ceres, Hitomi's Grandma, or Selena.

My favorite purchase of 2006, and perhaps for all time, is Ryozanpaku floating over St. Abey from the final episode of Giant Robo. It's a complete set-up book, it's only missing a tiny floating Daisaku that would've just gotten in the way!

I honestly cannot remember what all I bought in 2006 because I only randomly update. I uploaded several things recently that I purchased in 2005, so looking at my gallery is not a definitive indication of anything. I really need to get more organized!

We-ell ... in looking at my gallery to answer this question, I have come to the conclusion that I buy way too many cels and sketches!

Even so, I feel like I had a particularly great year this year. I was able to add incredibly special things (special to me, at least) to almost every section of my gallery, which just boggles my mind a bit -- but in a good way.

Makes me wonder if next year is going to be very slim pickings to make up for it. Even if it is, I don't think I'll mind too much, as I can't help but consider myself fortunate to have so many beloved pieces in my gallery.

aaaaah. Everyone has awesome cels from this year! Almost every one of my favorites have been named from other collector's galleries. haha

I have a Couple of Favorites from my gallery @_@:

Ceres Awakens

I actually bought a few more cels since my last update, and those are by far my favorite so far. I will not receive them until next year, So I will count those for 2007. haha

All but maybe 10 of my cels were bought this year. I think I will slow down next year on buying cels...

That is one incredibly stunning cel!

The dynamic sense of motion and intricate detail is just breathtaking. I remember when you won this, but forgot it was this year!
