It all depends. cels I like don't show up often. So when they do, I buy as many as I can. I give myself a monthly budget for cels. Many months can go by with no good find and no spending. Stangely, I always end up spending the entire budget on an annual basis :O

I used to purchase more frequently from auction sites, but now there are fewer cels that pique my interest. So once a month is about the current frequency. However, I do find that when cels are available, I usually buy multiples rather than single cels. That tends to be the nature of the market.

Where's the "It depends on how often they pop up" answer? :P I can go for months without buying any, then buy a dozen in a week.

My cel purchases are becoming less and less frequent. My purchases from last year until now go like this:

Jan 2006----------11 cels

Feb 2006----------2 cels

Mar 2006----------8 cels

Apr 2006---------nothing

May 2006----------4 cels

Jun 2006-----------2 cels

Jul 2006-----------3 cels

Aug 2006----------2 cels

Sep 2006----------1 cel

Oct 2006-----------1 cel

Nov 2006----------1 cel

Dec 2006--------nothing

Jan 2007---------nothing

Feb 2007---------nothing so far. :shrug

So I chose the "Once a Month" choice.

Watching more anime is a good idea.

Yeah, used to buy them every week, several times a week, but then we moved, and I was unemployed for five months, and now it's closer to once a month. :?

It runs in cycles depending on what shows up where.

I have gone quite a while without purchasing or even bidding on anything if nothing catches my eye. I have attempted to stick by my resolution to go more for quality cels this year. Then of course all of a sudden one week several nice ones hit the market and I can suddenly buy several at once.
