SHOW ME Yippee!

Post by star-phoenix »

OK, so, there was this very difficult board test I had to take for my medical degree, and I am HORRIBLE at exams. I mean, the minute I see one, I literally get nausea and stomach problems.
So, after 4 months of hard work and endless torture, I just found out today that I successfully made it through! So, in light of this event, please show me cels that made you JUMP in the air and scream "Yippee" when you find out that it was yours.

This was one of the cels that made me scream "Yippee" when I won it on auction:

This baby!

I had been working out of town for a couple of months and veeery long hours -- but it allowed me to obtain this beauty :love2

I remember I kept upping my bid thinking there was NO WAY I was going to be able to afford the set up but I REALLY had to try.... and lo-and-behold.....

*the clouds part and a stream of beatific light shown down upon a frazzled cel addict**

The Cel Gods smiled upon me and I won the auction -- to this day, it still brings smiles when I look upon it *sigh* ... and a BIG CHEESY GRIN :D

wOOt! :P

my last "yippee" win was this beautiful piece of original art:

http://puddle.rubberslug.com/gallery/in ... mID=258553

I fell in love with her in the artists deviant gallery, then found the seller putting the piece on ebay, and I had to have it... and I fought a bit for it, but she's mine and I loves her.

When it showed up on YJ it literally took my breath away. I read the item's description over and over again just to confirm that it was truly the hanken I knew it to be. I was extremely lucky to have won it. As I don't think most fans noticed that Nausicaa hankens are almost always off color from the anime less people bid on it probably thinking it was a fan cel. So there was only a tiny bid war between myself and another person which ended exactly on my high bid. I kinda flipped out when I won. :D

I was really excited when I won this baby on YJ recently:

It's probably my top wishlist for Gon for the whole original run of Hunter x Hunter, and I didn't think I'd ever be able to get it. :)

I about keeled over when I saw this one @ Anime Cel Box:

This cel is from my favorite episode and only lasts one frame. Came with original BKG and everything. It's in great condition for being from an older show. Truly blessed to have this one!

Fun rotations, huh?
Well, I have had some VERY interesting patients during my family practice rotations. One was this kid who just smoked pot right before entering the clinic (and the clinic smelled of pot, OMG!). Yes, he did alert us to it when we entered the room. Another one was this crazy 65 year old lady who decided to tell me all about her . . . . love affairs and her physical self-entertainment, and kept on following me down the hallway still TALKING about it after I ran off saying "I DON'T WANNA KNOW!!" (seriously, it was just WRONG!). I didn't know people were even capable of doing that, let alone a 65 year old lady! Learning new things everyday!

Congrats on passing your exam! :o

I have several cels that made me go 'Yippeeee', this is one of them:

http://celcove.rubberslug.com/gallery/i ... mID=226540

There was a bit of competition for this one and my heart was racing throughout the last minutes of the auction.
