Interesting eBay finding...my art on a button :)

Post by ceogbdd »

I found this more funny than anything, and figure it might be of some amusement... :)

I was doing a regular ol' eBay search this afternoon, and saw this button for sale:

Thundercats Lion-o loves Snowmeow 1 1/4" button pin
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Thundercats-Lio ... 256f084cef

Interestingly enough, it looks like that image is taken directly from my RS page:

Lion-O & Snowmeow, from "Lord of the Snows" (ThunderCats)
http://bgcartoonology.rubberslug.com/ga ... mID=345360

Note the same backgrounds on each...I know it's taken directly from my image because that's not the production-mathcing background. It's close, but it's not matching...I selected it from by bg bank and used for this cel because it's darned close, but definitely not identical. ;)

I'm confident this happens ALL the time (particularly for those of you with extensive collections and lovely scans); nevertheless, this is a first for me!

I have seen lots of people rip things from other people's galleries and sell their images on merchandise. I used to see my Anime cels sell on bags, shirts, and lots of fan cels made for resale. I would contact Ebay directly about this and show them where this image was taken from your gallery. They should have it removed.

They now have a customer support phone number you can talk to a live representative. Some of them are actually helpful.
