Signature ID help requested?

Post by shadowlight »

Starting to get around to framing a bunch of my old sketches. I am adding stickies on the back so I don't mess up on who did what. Can anyone help ID who did this? I think it is by Koichi Tsunoda, who just did not sign it in English like he usually did. I am pretty sure I got it at the 22006 Animazement charity auction, and he would seem the most likely person to have done this sketch. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Marcus

If you got it at that con in 2006 I would start with someone on this guest list

Thanks. That was what I tried to do first.

As I said before, I think it is Tsunoda, who was there at that con and worked on mazinger z. I just cannot read the Japanese and the signature is not similar to other Tsunoda sketches that I have (which he signed in English).

The hiragana says "Koichi". The last name looks like Tsunoda but it's heavily stylized.

Thanks for confirming. Wish I had taken the time to learn to read. Have gotten into the habit of tagging the new stuff, but the old stuff I got sometimes drives me nuts. Now can finish tagging them and get everything up on the wall.
