I can't even copy and paste it.

Its from Simoun, some deep pockets seem to have very interesting tastes in sketch based series.

Not knowing the show , the action of a female hero cutting her hair like that is a "sign" that she is now taking a battle seriously (kind of a crossroads event) so I am not surprised that if the moment is considered an important scene to the series it may well receive a high price.
"Like the wind crying endlessly through the universe, Time carries away the names and the deeds of conquerors and commoners alike. And all that we are, all that remains, is in the memories of those who cared we came this way for a brief moment." Harlan Ellison

Ah okay. It looked slightly familiar, but I couldn't place it.
I never did watch very much of Simoun.

I see. I recall in the past seeing genga set(not the rough doodles) that were worked on by known artists going for this kind of price but no idea who worked on this series. So this could well be a masterpiece by some people's standard then.JWR wrote:Not knowing the show , the action of a female hero cutting her hair like that is a "sign" that she is now taking a battle seriously (kind of a crossroads event) so I am not surprised that if the moment is considered an important scene to the series it may well receive a high price.

Oooh yeah. Back when I was really into buying Simoun, this would have been an ultimate kind of set for me (except way out of my range). Very significant haircut for one of the better loved characters in the series.
Major spoilers for Simoun in this video, but it also has the hair-cutting sequence. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=munq_pZAD3s
I do have a couple post haircut rough sketches though, which were fortunately slightly cheaper for my wallet.
