If you have a good cel (excluding very expensive cels) with a stucked sketches, what would you normally do?

Leave it alone, cause destroying art is just wrong...

Obviously I aim not to destroy the sketch, but I do try and remove them. They look so much better without stuck sketches when they are framed, and even better with a cool background.

preserve it as best I can :o :D

I try not to buy a cel with a stuck sketch. I'll only do it if I really REALLY want the cel, which has happened to me about 2 times. And since it's a cel I really want, I don't want to risk damaging it, so the sketch stays stuck.

sketch stays stuck. Jeez, try saying that 5 times really fast! :P

I remember reading a cool idea from SaiyanWolf, who suggested getting the sketch a little wet to remove it- destroys the sketch, but doesn't damage the cel. I thought that was a purty cool idea.

Well I didn't vote because it depends. Sometimes it is easy to remove the sketch and not damage it or damage the part of the sketch that the drawing is on. But sometimes the sketch is really stuck. I also take into consideration how detailed the drawing is. I have one cel of Krillin that the sketch is really stuck and it has alot of detail to it and shading. It is really nicely done and I refuse to remove it. But I have had ok sketches and removed then. Most I saved but one I think got destroyed. :( I tried to save it,but it was too late.
Now I also try to find cels that the scetches are not stuck to them, but you know that dream cel will come along and if it is stuck the so be it.
I also will not remove the sketch if the cel will be ruined in the process.
I will suggest this though, if you are going to remove a sketch I would do it when it is cold out and the cel is cold, not in the summer when it is hot and humid. You are more likely to ruin the cel when it is hot and humid than when it is cold out. At least that is my experience.

I say destroy the cel and preserve the sketch :P. Seriously, unless you know for a fact that you can have the sketch removed intact, then go for it. Otherwise I would just leave the sketch where it is.

I've only had a couple cels with stuck sketches and I just leave them they way they are. I wouldn't want to chip the paint.

Depends on the quality of the sketch. Most of my better cels don't have sketches anyway so weak sketches can go. Good detailed sketches stay. :D

I didn't vote because my option isn't there.

I simply remove the sketch. Nearly every time I have done this, it has come off without damage to either the cel or the sketch. It just takes patience and a steady hand.
