Favourite pose?

Post by Dragon_gal »

What position do you like you cel characters to be in, just curious?

I'm definitely prefering chest up position. I find you still get all the detail of the cel, the character still takes up a good amount of cel space and you still see the relevant features.

I voted for chest up too. That kind of shot gives a good enough close-up, while showing more than the face of the character.

I voted for 'waist up.' Although, I just went through my gallery because I've never really paid much attention to which I've purchased more of, and it appears I have more cels featuring characters 'chest up.' This was an interesting topic to bring up, Dragon_gal. Thanks!

I voted chest up, basically for the same reasoning as Kaiba's Treasure and Dragon_gal. But it's sort of a compromise--if I only have one cel of a character then chest up would be my preference, but for my favorite characters I try to get several cels in each of those poses. One other pose I particularly like is kneeling, because you can see the the whole character like a full-length shot but it can be closer-up to show more detail.

I'll go for "Chest Up" too, ambiguity included. :)

I voted for 'full body' view. Though what I'm referrring to are the pan cels, so there's enough room to see lots of detail. My second choice would be a face shot, I noticed that many of my favorite cels are portrait- like.

I said "chest up" although it was a toss up with "waist up" since my cels consist of mostly those two poses.

I love cels that I don't have to wonder where they are from. They vary so much that I couldn't vote for anything than other, because I have a lot of all of the categories 8)
