On one hand, I love collecting this sequence...

On the other hand, I may like keeping my $200 more...

I agree with Keropi.
If it was cheaper, then I would have said yes, but it isn't....

What? You're going to animate your own cartoon?!
I'd say pass since it's a bit pricey. Let someone else enjoy her.

I just don't see the appeal in collecting sequences in general. I'd rather
spend the money on a cel of a character that I don't have than a cel
where 95%+ of the artwork is the same. For me to collect cels from the
same scene, they'd have to be different enough for me to appreciate
them seperately. Here's the only ones that I've paid for (had a few
tossed in as extras):

I can see the appeal of collecting that sequence
, but as others have stated it would have to hold its own and be part of the group. That cel looks too much like the '...for Belldandy Again.' cel in your collection. If it were a little further along in the sequence i would say go for it. Unless there is a defect in the cel you have now and this one doesnt have (like being a key cel or having a missing sketch or bad trace line, ect..), i say save your yen for a different one in that sequence that better displays the sentiment. But if it does have something that the other lacks, get it and sell the one you have. If that makes any sense, yay
, else i'll just up my medication
.

Couldn't agree more, Govogeta! When a poll has a choice like that one ... well, how can you resist choosing it?Govogeta wrote:Behold! For now I wear the human pants!!! Not sure what that

As for the sequence collecting thing ... I can see the appeal in collecting a sequence. I have three from a certain sequence that I love in Flame of Recca, and I'm on the look-out for more from it, too.
But, while I can understand why you would want another cel from the same sequence ... I would probably pass on this particular one, because of the price. Also, it does look a lot like one you already have ... although, if it was me, that wouldn't stop me. The FOR sequence I love collecting from is of one of the characters charging toward the camera ... so all the cels I have from it look rather the same. In this instance, it would be the price alone that would put me off the cel.
Still, if you really love that particular sequence from the show, then the cel would be worth the money to you ... if that makes any sense ...

OMG, you guys kick butt!! Thanks so much for the two cents...though it's odd how almost all of you said no, and yet, Yes and No are tied two for two on the pole...both of which are trailing pants by 4??
Geez guys...focus...
For all of you curious though, choice three is straight from here, though unless you've played Doom 3, it may be less funny...but only by a bit

I'd not only NOT buy the cel on Mandarake, but I'd seriously consider selling off some of the ones you have if you think they'd come close to getting that amount.
Let's do a little mental excercise but first an introduction:
Startyde is a phenomenon onto himself paving a new road to travel where no beta member has tread: Behold, I present to you, this is ---Startyde's thinking process:
A: Is Mezzo in the title? If yes, goto H, if no, goto B.
B: Is there a robot with a huge frontal appendage? If yes, goto H, if no, goto C.
C: Is there cleavage? If yes, goto H, if no, goto D.
D: Does it come with an awesome background? If yes, goto H, if no goto G.
F: Does it meet esoteric/abstract criteria that soda couldn't possibly understand and/or put into text? If yet, then goto G, if no, goto H.
G: Purchase.
H: Get another beer and start search again.
Nowhere in there do I see anything about collecting sequence mates unless it's in step F. I only do it because I'm greedy.

Heh, you were one of the first people I met in the cel community Soda, and I think it left a mark. Who knows, if I hadn't met you, I may have been collecting Inuyasha cels and missed out on the power of painted mammarys...
*whistles*
(On a side note, H is Vodka and usually coupled with A-G simultaneously...but that's another story...)
