i just bought this dvd because it looked like a decent samurai anime. Can anyone whos seen it, tell me if it is any good to continue the series past disc 1? ive so far seen the first eppy and the animation is very high quality and the story is pretty riveting for a first episode.

I liked it. It is a good samurai story with all of the right pieces in place, heros that you root for and bad guys that you love to hate.

Wish they would make more episodes 8)

I was hooked by episode five. :D

If Kenshin is a ten overall then it is about 8.5 - 9, but I liked it better than the last arc of Kenshin, which I thought was just filler 8O

I only read the 1st graphic manga. I have an interest in samurai genre, so the cover caught my eye. When I found out that the Shinsen-gumi are involved, I was tickled. Though Okita Soushi from Kenshin will always be the way I envision the character.

Now that I know there's an anime, I'll definately contnue the series.
