Has anyone been watching Genshiken? Man I just find this anime so funny. I've been rolling on the floor watching it. Some of the characters remind me of people that I've talked with online and at conventions.
It's nice too see how they stick real life stuff in there too sometimes like that KimiNozo Haruka figure from episode one:
man that eppy about the doujinshi convention when that dude broke his arm. i was rolling! now all that trouble with animesuki, i just download the eppies direct from

Wasn't that a scream??!! I was just killing myself laughing, especially after the FOUR HOUR wait in line to get into AX last summer (preregistered? Ha!) Could just see the people ready to explode in anticpation of the Holy Grail waiting in the dealer's room... Usually I'm the one who breaks something, which made it even funnier to watch.
the new genshiken is out. to me its a really good eppy, where that dude with glasses is in the room alone with that one chick for the whole eppy. i laughed my ass off the way he turned the situation into a computer game with options in his head! a good follow up to the eppy about building models which was also hilarious!
but yeah, i think that doujinshi eppy is so far my fav, but eppy 9 is really growing on me.

I thought that the ep was the weakest of the series. It dragged on and on
way too much. I was thinking to myself "Ok, they told the writer, take this
one short chapter of the manga and pad it out to a full ep." (Not that I've
read any of the manga, so don't know if that's true, but that's how it felt).
Yes. Both were good things. However, I feel that both could've been
accomplished in much shorter time. It's bad when you start watching the
clock not far into an episode because it's moving so slowly and so
repetitively.
Thanks Kymaera I was curious about them, but my friend never felt like saying anything about the later episodes even though I asked.
I see now that Mono Blasters has picked the rights for Genshiken R1 DVD release. That's good. But I hope that they are over their "mono" DVD problem. Every time I think that they are over that problem they end up releasing another mono DVD.
