what is your favorite saga?

We need some other discussions in here! So to start it off, here is a burning question...what is your all-time favorite DBZ saga? Which one do you watch more then any other, or tugged at your heartstrings, or was just all around so awesome you found yourself dressing in spandex and running through the neighborhood doing a mucho manly scream?

Well to kick it off, I voted for the Trunks saga

Why? To me, that was the point where DBZ began to shift...the characters began changing into the dynamic forces they become during the Buu Saga. We see the introduction of the Androids, the dark agents of Dr. Gero. We get to see Vegeta in pastels

And of course, the introduction of the sexy Mirai Trunks on his mission to save Goku's life. While I love all the other sagas (especially from the world tournament onwards), it all has its roots back in this simple 6 episode saga :eyes

I voted for the cell saga. Just because yummy Trunks is there the whole time.

Man, that's so hard to pick. I chose the Cell saga because the saiyans really came into their own then. Trunks and Vegeta ascended, Goku and Gohan found the secret to strength plus speed, and Gohan is the first to go SSJ2 and really kicks some Cell @$$.

And that whole Goku being there with Gohan in spirit is the most awesome scene of all!

Not to mention the cels from that scene are the most colorful and well-drawn cels of all, too, imho. :goof

Excellent poll. I need to start a great topic like this.

Cell games.

Love the coming of age story. Actually each saga is a coming of age, but this one was really sweet. Love the fear in Cell's eyes, the confidence of Goku in his son, Vegeta's reaction to Trunks' death, ultimate sacrifice by Goku, etc. etc.

And of course one of my top DBZ wishlist cels is from this saga.

I picked the end of DBZ/Buu saga!
As I'm watching it on the International Channel now. I have some problems with small parts of the story line, but all in all I enjoy it.
It make me want to see the rest of Dragon Ball in Japanese as it was written. Of course the Project Shinonome translation helps to understand the show! I use to think the Funi dub was ok, but now I see it for the bad job it is!

Tough choice! I'm torn between the Cell saga, and the Buu saga. Ultimately I chose Buu, but I love them both! I like the end of DBZ when they're all older at the tournament and chibi Pan is introduced (she's so cute there).

I liked the Namek/Frieza saga. I think the Nameks are cool, and we get to see Goku go SSJ for the first time, and Piccolo returns.

I'm still very :sleep2 , and this emoticon makes me want to crawl back into bed.

Well, I didnt vote for any of the one's above...I actually kinda liked the Vegetto saga a lot. I know its prolly included in the buu saga, but it should be reguarded as one on its own cuz its so cool. Vegetto really kicks ass, and I think his popularity will really grow after CN releases it. I do find myself watching the Majin vegeta saga quite a bit (shut up DBC), and of course I cant do without watching the Cell saga, but there's something cool about the vegetto saga. Anyway, I dont know what the hell Im talking about.

Gogeta's making me look forward to the Vegitto episodes just by his post alone. But man! I'm surprised there aren't more Namek/Frieza votes! Goku SSJ for the first time, Vegita dies for the first time, awesome race for the Dragonballs, The Tyrant Frieza who blew the whole Saiyan race away gets toppled, Piccolo finds his origins, Goku training in 100 G? Ginyu!?!?!!? damn, I really loved that saga - what? oh , ... whippy dude says he liked the Cell saga cause of Hercule. HYAH! HYAH!

Well I voted Majin Vegeta saga. Why? Anything with that much Veggie can't be wrong

That fight just needed to happen somewhere in the series!

But the Freiza saga comes in a close second.

Yes dbzmomma I do ^_^ Actually I have 10 all together but only 7 are DBZ. Just got my newest one 4 days ago.
(hurt like HFIL too)

I'm thinking of getting pictures of them and posting them! What do you guys think? Should I?
