Anyone have any idea what the full title of this show is? Just from looking at the manga covers, it appears like a shounen/seinen (semi-)magical girl show:

パピヨンローゼ (Papillon Rose) New Season - Winter 2006
http://www.ayaya.co.jp/
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wow! That's a heck of a lot of shounen/seinen shows with a lot of girls in them (or A girl) as the center of the anime (about 14 out of the first 23 TV series mentioned :emb ). I sure hope those shows have SOME depth to them. o_O;; X|

Out of all these shows, Fate/Stay Night tops my list by far. After "Fate/Stay Night" I'd say Ergo Proxy looks good. I might like Kashimasi, Hantsuki, Shinigami no Ballad and whatever that "Punie" anime is. But I definitely like last season compared to this one after first glancing at the titles of what's upcoming. We'll see how it goes. :?

I'm really looking forward to Ergo Proxy (I'd be willing to bet that this is going to be another Adult Swim feature). It looks good and moody -
just the way I like it.

I'm also pretty damned excited about the Hellsing OVA series, except that it now has an officially delayed release date of January 26, 2006. X| Whatever. :x

....

And on another animated note, looks like we'll also be getting some new Spawn in 2006 as well. Very happy about that. :evilblk

With regard to the last series, I was about to say that it apears to be a Papillon Rose series but Syan got there first. We found that out by hovering the mouse over the email link ;) The pink rose motif reinforces this idea.

Maybe it'll be made into a proper 13-part series?

Out of that whole list, only 2 or 3 appealed to me: Ayakashi the period horror stories, Ergo Proxy (with those impressive looking settings and slick animation) and Ultimate Muscle (Kinnikuman). I used to collect UM figures when I was a little kid so I think I'll always like this series ^__^

Funny Pets could be interesting if it's more psychedelic rather than 'trying' to be humerous. I can see they're borrowing a lot of styles from old animation/film so it wil look familiar to audiences. Who know's what it'll actually be like to sit through!?...

Certainly 'Ergo Proxy' will be a title to look out for in the near future. What I like most about this studio's approach to animation is that they experiment and give it a 3-D impression while maintaining that it's a 2-D artform. Depth is created by blurring foregrounds/backgrounds and they really move the camera around and give some lengthy roaming shots to suggest that it's more lifelike and natural than it really is. This also helps us see ourselves in that world; engauging the audience. *blah blah*

I wonder what anime people have been compared to Shuffle! saying that Kaede is a "Seed"? Gundam Seed? Nah...can't be. :messed :^^:

Thanks! I wonder why the translator didn't translate it for me before? I must have been tired by the time I got to the end and I didn't input the text correctly. :coffee:

That would good if that's what it is.

I didn't know Kinnikuman was that popular worldwide. :D

It's too bad no one ever English fansubbed "Fighting Beauty Wulong". That was the show I recall you were looking forward to seeing last season.

In fact, Ultimate Muscle was never heard of or aired in the UK, probably not even in the west- I used to buy the 2" toys with my pocket money from a store that used to get cheap imports in. I never knew what the series was until I was in my 20's!! LOL

As for Wulong, I remember that! I've not seen it around YET but I'm sure the manga will get an English translation and the anime should follow. I'll certainly recall the art when I see it- not because it's a female fighter but because of the feeling and movement that the artwork had. Don't think I'e seen such a well storyboarded manga since Hokuto no Ken and Blade of the Immortal.

I'll be looking out for matial arts anime in 2006. No doubt they'll be western releases of such anime made in the late 90's that'll be considered 'new' :D
I know you've heard me go on about it ALL the time, but the manga for JoJo's Adventure is being published in English by Viz AT LAST!! I think the manga is about 15 years old so it's about time!
