I am amazed 8O At first I thought that this was going to be an ordinary EVA clone, and the first few episodes were nothing special. A few episodes in it sinks its claws into you and never lets go. It is not a happy story and will definitely bring tears to your eyes on many occasions. This is one of those animes where you can't wait to get to the end and then hate that it is over.

The music is amazing and I watched the opening and especially the closing credits every time, something I never do

Character design is reminiscent of Gundam Seed and the mech are very good and move well.

I highly recommend watching this anime, something I rarely do. :D

PS I liked the ending 8)

Davui, your description makes me want to run out and get the series! Gorgeous mech AND an ending that I might actually like??? Can it be possible??? :) I'll have to look this one up! Is it a new series or an "oldie but goodie"? (read: "Is it CG or cel?" 8) )

Thanks for the tip! I think I'll look this one up.

I saw it on fansub, so I don't know about availability, except that it is not licensed in the US yet. It was huge in Japan last year (04) and they are working on an OVA, so maybe it will be here soon.

I'm sure it's still out there since the last fansub episode wasn't released very long ago... what 2-3 weeks maybe?

Ooo, good! I saw Gundam Seed via fansub right after it was done airing in Japan, so maybe I'll be able to find this one too. (Look out ebay, here I come! ;))

Saw the PSP game and decided that I need to check this one out. >.< Dumb me for looking at games before even seeing the series.

I thought I would revive this thread since I recently watched the OVA. It begins with "this is another story".

It incorporates some of the characters from the series, but is centered around a new character and like the series is not a happy story. It happens before the sereis. But like glorff said about the series, it sucks you in...you can't wait for it to end, but don't want it to be over.

And the series OP and Ending music are still in my top favorite anime songs.
