Man, you are not alone ^^; I don't even know if this was an anime or not, but that CG series "RE-BOOT" was a guilty pleasure of mine :sweatdrop

I like Super Gals Kotobuki Ran too! Very colorful and bright images. Plus I love the ending song.

Ummm...Dragonball. All of it. EVERY TIME I say I watched it to other anime fans...They get this disgusted look on their face. Makes me feel embarrassed every time...LOL! I still loved it though ^^;!

LOL! That's what I was thinking so some stuff I just won't mention because it's frowned upon here. Image

A couple of shows spring to mind, Pokemon and Kinnikuman [Ultimate Muscle].
I think we've had this topic before and my responses are the same.
When I was at college, I got my brother to record the Pokemon episodes because I didn't have satellite TV in my halls of residence/houses for the 3-year duration. When I came back home every 4 months I collected the 4-hour tapes to watch when I returned, heh.

It actually worked out well because my knowledge and enthusiasm for the series paid off when we made a video documentary discussing the show's popularity and psychological effects on children. Mixing business and pleasure, ahhhh. ^__^

There are other series I love that the majority may deem 'questionable' but I'm not embarrased about them. Most of them are featured in my RS gallery, LOL
Out of the gloom a voice said unto me;
"Smile and be happy, things could be worse".
So I smiled and was happy
and behold;
things did get worse...

I do have a guilty pleasure of enjoying Excel Saga & Puni Puni Poemy a little too much.
Joe has a definite point there! :D For us anime lovers over the age of 24, many of our peers don't bother trying to understand. I've actually had some people try to tell me I shouldn't watch "cartoons" anymore. Please. Anime is much more entertaining than some sitcom anyways! And I love Excel saga sooo much! I don't recommend watching it for six hours straight....I got a migraine that way once. Mostly from Excel's voice! Now I know how IlPallaazo feels. :rollin

anywho!
I'll have to admit I kinda enjoy watching the dubbed version of Yu-Gi-Oh. Even as I watch it, I think 'Why am I watching this?' It's so horrible! It's almost sickeningly sweet. It's like melted chocolate--gooey. And that's why I love it! ^//^

High School Kimengumi was the series that introduced me to the wackiest form of humour the Japanese master. It's silly.. but I like it.

The Doctor : … and then, just to finish off, I’m going to wipe every last stinking Dalek out of the sky !
Dalek : But you have no weapons ! No defenses ! No plan !
The Doctor : Yeah ! And doesn’t that scare you to death ?

... Puni Puni Poemy.
Nobody heard me say that.
I'm always amused by the stereotypical long dark haired, soft-spoken girl who has a crush on the protagonist. >_>;;;

I also cried in Pokemon when I thought Ash (yes I watched the English version) was going to leave Pikachu with the pikachu clan in the forest. That was so touching. :l

Pretty much any anime with the main characters being the ages of my daughters. lol

Wait, that sounded not right....hmmm....how about any anime that doesn't have great hand to hand combat, bloody scenes every 5 - 10 minutes or crazy car crash scenes.

One of my favorite new series Nanoha (the original and the A's series), but it's not something I would recommend to one of my poker buddies :emb

The first anime I remember watching and liking was Pokemon, but now it's all over the place that it's a headache to watch it anymore...Brock was my first bishie experience (he reminds me of Miroku). :love:
