Lets see if any new rumors or info has popped up on the new live action Evangelion movie.

Known facts:

Will be based on the original artwork.

Weta studios (makes me weta just thinking about it)

No actors named (but you know Keanu wants it REAL bad, lol)

No director named (please don't give it to Lucas)

The problem is ADV. They think this movie will spell big bucks for them
so they refuse to let a stable studio become involved. If a name like
Warner were involved (just for sake of argument, not suggesting WB
-should- get involved) the movie would've been done by now.

ADV isn't doing very well in general. They've spread themselves too thin
with anime, Newtype magazine, manga and the anime network channel.
If they don't play their cards right, they'll go bankrupt. They've already
cancelled tons of manga and laid off many employees.
