What did you think of the third season?

Post by Baylor »

*blows serious amount of dust off forum*

Okay, I finally got around to finishing the third season. I feel like such an FMP-fan slacker. :D

So what did everyone think? I loved it right up until the last episode. I felt like Kaname's appearance was a little cheesy, but the whole last episode was incredibly rushed. It was like they got to the last episode, realized that they were only budgeted for thirteen episodes but planned for 18, and crammed five episodes into twenty minutes.

Sousuke suddenly sees Kaname and is able to magically do everything he couldn't do with the Lambda driver? Felt so... I don't know...

But I absolutely LOVED that they developed Sousuke's character in this season. He finally becomes more human, with feelings, doubts, and trying to figure out who he is. Of course he's still socially inept and treats everything like a hostile situation, but that's why we love him so.

I think it was the strongest of all the FMP series so far and thoroughly
enjoyed. It did seem a bit short, though.

From what I have heard, since Gonzo did not do the third season, there will be no rilezu of FMP: TSR. Makes me so very sad. :l

I'm with you Baylor, seemed real rushed at the end.

Still a lot of fun and it won't keep me from waiting anxiously for season next

OMG I wish. But if I find a good one of Kurz, I'm buying it in a flash. You're on your own. Sadly though, the one I have and the one that Jenn-b has are the only ones I've seen of him and he's not alone in either. Someone is hoarding my little blond German...

*still huggling her Kurz genga, and still pondering how to frame them inside her coffin lid so that someday she can take 'em with her* :D :D :D

Hubby and I recently finished watching the third season, and wow. Wow-wow. Have to agree with everyone here that the last couple of episodes seemed far too rushed, but overall it was just awesome. Creepy chicks, freaky villain, and mech battles a-plenty... two thumbs up!
He who dies with the biggest mech... obviously needed a bigger mech.
