Anyone know Hidamari no Ki

Post by kizu »

I have the first fansub episode of this. I do not think it is US licensed and so far I've been unable to find any other eps... I checked the usual places like animesuki and scarywater... Was the other episodes (2 and up) ever fansubbed or released in english elsewhere? I kind of liked the first episode as it deals with a subject I currently like... Help please? Thanks! :)

It was one of those one-fansub episode wonders like Kakyuusei TV series, Project Blue and Sasami first season. I've never seen more than one episode English fansubbed.

I had to buy a VCD set subtitled in Chinese to be able to see more of it.

I could have rented the tapes at my Japanese tape rental store, but going back and forth and spending whatever per tape was too much trouble.

Oohh where did you get a fansub of it, I’m usually not a fan of fansubs, but I've been dieing to watch an episode of this ever since I bought some cels from it and it’s just completely unavailable, anywhere! Looks cool and glad to hear it's stirred up some interest for you to want to watch more of it. Sorry I haven’t been able to help though!

As far as I know, only the first episode ever got subbed online. I have about half of the original Japanese DVDs ( no subtitles, of course ), and have yet to get the remaining ones ( $50 a disc, phew... ). As of yet, it has not been licensed/released in the USA, and I'm not too sure it ever will, as it's one of the more obscure series.

The artwork is beautiful, and I have a lot of cels from the series that are currently sitting in my infamous "to scan" pile.
