Ohhh, wait a minute. I have heard about this! Kinda proves they run out of money the first time around after all. I never did buy those excuses about "trying to make it artsy." When you run out of money, you run out of money.

Dont have links what what i remember is that the new series is the retelling of the eva series but from a different characters point of view. Dont remember which character though. Sorry for the vague answer as I read it a couple months back out on a whimp because i really didn't like the first eva so i have no plans on seeing this one. I believe they are beating a dead horse. However that was kind of given when they release all those releses... lets see.. There was the original 8 volumes, then "plantinum" edition, thin-pack set and now just recently in Aug. they released the 10th annerversity box set at like $250

Prequels seem to be the thing today. If yer can't think of where to take the story, then go back in time, it's just as clever, and alot easier to write!

I haven't even seen the rest- I seen five or so episodes that were shown on sci-fi some four years ago. I don't really have the time you be avidly following a series- it was bad enough watching 192 episodes of dbz

I don't think it's a prequel, it's a retelling. At least, that was my understanding. That's totally different. I see the word "remake" in that article, but nothing about "prequel."
