If it's something great, I'll buy it on DVD. My anime collection isn't very big, I suspect, compared to other people on this board. VCDs are good in a pinch if the series isn't available domestically. I don't like watching anime on my computer, but will download it and burn it to a disc and watch it on TV.

The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

I watch some stuff on cable if it's something I've heard about but aren't really interested in (GitS, Paranoia Agent, etc). Other than that, I pretty much buy everything on DVD. I just splurged and put in an order for the region 2 (Japan) release of the Bonobono TV series. I've been hoping it would come out for years, and was THIS close to buying the Region 3 (Korea) and finding a player that could play them. Before that, my most recent Region 2 series I bought was Gakuen Alice.

In Region 1, I'm currently buying Bleach, Le Chevalier D'eon, Tsubasa, Moon Phase (haven't bought the last couple of discs yet), Case Closed, Kyo Kara Maoh, Naruto and PoT sets as they come out, and just finished up FMP:TSR last week. Probably something else I'm forgetting right now... I'm also a big fan of economy box sets. I need to get the Doki Doki School Hours/Sensei no Ojikan box that was just released. Looks like there are a ton of sets that I'm interested in coming out in the next few months. Should be interesting.

In 2002 I was living in Japan, so I was watching most of my anime on TV and renting tapes and dvds from the video store. ;)
