The Pixelation Game

Post by JuniorMintKiss »

I recently bought Kigurumi Sentai Kiltian on DVD to see what the hentai was all about, since I recently found out my unknown cel comes from that show. So I popped it in, thinking that I'm in for a nice ecchi surprise...

...but...

all the H-scenes were blurred out! And being an official Pink Pineapple release, this doesn't make any sense! I know that 9 times out of 10, people watch hentai for ONE thing...and this ONE thing was robbed from me! So my question is why would they do that, considering that those elements are what makes an anime a hentai title? Right now with the show presented this way, I would give it a 6, but if it was shown in its entirety, an easy 9 or 10.

Has this happened to anyone else??? And do I have to wait for an English release for this problem to be resolved???

Please tell me no.

Adult anime releases in Japan are pixellated. For a long time in Japan it was against the law to show private parts. So even though the law was changed pratically everything live and animated shows with gentials showing is still pixellated. That kind of thing is ingrained in their way of thinking now.

Japanese adult games are pixellated also, but in the case of games unlike adult anime if you remove the pixellation there's nothing really there. So adult games usually have their CG redrawn for release out West while adult anime had Western audiences in mind so for many years now there actually IS something under the pixellation.

So you liked the story?

Thanks for answering my question, Keropi.

As far as liking the story...

Eh...

Like I said, If I could actually SEE some areas, I would have enjoyed it more, but the plot itself is interesting, albeit kinda ridiculous sometimes. I don't know if I could post it here, though... :D
