it was expected as the licensor, "ADV Films", is already releasing "Air", but it's always pleasant to have confirmation. Hope they don't delay much the release after "air".

Yeah,
it was expected as the licensor, "ADV Films", is already releasing "Air", but it's always pleasant to have confirmation. Hope they don't delay much the release after "air".

I was happy to hear about this when I read the news on ANN.
As with Darksuzaku, I was not too surprised by this because of the earlier AIR anime acquisition, but I was glad to hear it get finalized. I wasn't like "run-out-of-the-house" happy like I was in 2002 with the Sentimental Journey's news or 2004 with To Heart's news, but still happy nonetheless.
Maybe ADV can also pick up CLANNAD in the future. The CLANNAD TV series begins airing October 5th, 2007. \o/
By the way...do yourselves all a favor and complete watching the CLANNAD TV series before getting spoiled on viewing the CLANNAD Movie (which debuted in theaters September 15th). I'm sure the movie will spoil Nagisa's story. The TV series should be able to give her story much better depth.
