It's taken me about 16 months from my surgery to get things back in order. I had the surgery in May 07, then Flooding on August 07, and February 08, then when I was getting back on my feet work laid me off for about 2 weeks June/July. But as long as I don't gett laid off or have any other strange medical things that keep me off for a week, like a dislocated hip, or blood clots in my legs, or shoulder tendinitis again... I should have things back in order. Not fully paid off, but back in order.Captain Haddock wrote:Wow Hotice hats off to you, from what you've just described alot of folkes would feel justified taking another year to get their finances back together!

I'm glad you find this amusing.
The Three Laws of Robotics:
1. A robot may not injure a human being, or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

Soonish...
Mandarake just popped the package in the mail, hopefully my visit will go well next week so I can take a day off and scan. It's going to be my first 7 day week since I moved to the west coast of FL
On the plus side 2 CCS cels just came in the mail, and I have a new Goku to scan just no time right now.
12 hour days suck!
Going to sleep now...

My problem is if I see anything I like, I will go for it no matter what lol I dont really have a specific designer brand right now that Im crazy for but I just bought the cutest leather jacket that cost major $$$ But it was sooo worth itShampoo wrote:Ditto!KT wrote:I am not heavily active in cel collecting as much as I use to, but I still from time to time. But the months I cant find anything I like, I save half of my 'play' funds
towards buying a house (hopefully the near future)
and the other half on clothes/designer accessories.
Im gaga right now over juicy, betsy j., and u.o.
Ray calls them the 3 evils. LOL!
I think it is safe to say I have a shopping problem
Anime Figurines!
I would say to get... anime figurines!
They are very pretty and gorgeous to look at!
I've just got my Abel Nightroad from Trinity Blood.
But this is even more gorgeous!

Besides that, I'm thinking if I should get these as well...
Harukanaru Toki no Nakade 3
1/8 Scale PVC Figure - Minamoto no Kurou Yoshitsune
Harukanaru Toki no Nakade 3
1/8 Scale PVC Figure- Masaomi Arikawa
But due to my current financial state with 2 cards to pay and medical bills.. I've got to pull back till next year the earliest.

Still buying cels, though there has been a big shift in my sources. I'm mostly buying from other collectors and dealers (seems to be the same 3 dealers too)
For the shows I collect from, the pickings from auctions have been very poor. In 2008 I have bought;
1) nothing from ebay
2) one storyboard ($10) from Mandarake
3) seven items from YJ. Five of the seven were less than $50. The other two were a IY cel with no other bidders and an overpriced storyboard.
I really haven't shifted to collecting anything else, but if this keeps up I will probably add to my knife and sword collection.
