Just wondering if anyone knows if "Animation Runner Kuromi" was done in CG or cels? I really liked this OVA when I saw it several years ago. Here is a link if you are curious http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclo ... hp?id=1146
They showed only working on storyboards, key animation... The in-betweens were shipped overseas and I saw no "cel painters'.... Can anyone confirm for me if it's all CG? Thanks!
All the shows they have been involved with are all CG.
"Like the wind crying endlessly through the universe, Time carries away the names and the deeds of conquerors and commoners alike. And all that we are, all that remains, is in the memories of those who cared we came this way for a brief moment." Harlan Ellison
My first impression is that it was computer colored, but I'm not the person to ask. I don't collect from it and I've only been looking in the paper sections for so long.
I think I've seen stuffs before, but I have no firm proof. That's what records are supposed to be for, but they're failing me right now. EPIC FAIL
Thanks for the info JWR. That's really making me think it's CG.
Just like you Keropi, I do think it was computer colored mostly because I don't see the defined lines of a typical cel. It was a bit confusing since I'm so used to really fluid and colorful CG anime now... But this reminds me that initially CG anime was a bit awkward too (drawing wise). I guess practice makes perfect.
